Re: PG: KAWHI BRINGS WINTER TO HOUSE SIXERS
Heads up, if you don't like long emotional posts skip this one lol
I couldn't watch this live because it was a big day for my family. We adopted a little girl in December and this was my wife's first Mother's day with her. I put some prep work into this one. Worked with the kids to make some paintings on canvas for their mom, got some pics developed & framed. Made lunch reservations at a good restaurant long in advance and afterwards we hit up a travelling dinosaur show called Jurassic Quest for the kids. It was truly a great day.
Got home, put the wife and kids to bed then went to the basement to watch this epic game. After the shot, I couldn't help but go down memory lane like a few of you did in this thread. I remember that 2001 series against Philly, it was just before I got married. Vince scored 50 on the night of my bachelor party which actually was in downtown T.O. It was an amazing night. Then after being deflated in that Game 7, I actually remember that I had hope because the team and VC were trending upwards, it felt like, it would be be better next year. Of course things didn't go as we all hoped they would.... its been a long and bumpy road.
When I got married 18 years ago in June 2001, I had lots of hope for that as well. You have hope for good careers, a nice house, a happy home and of course... kids. Things didn't go as we hoped in that arena. We tried for 10 years (on and off) to have kids. IVF, fertility drugs, ultrasounds, surgeries and a ton of stress. It didn't work out as planned. So we changed gears and focused on adoption and we got lucky in 2013 adopting a baby boy. We just got lucky again and adopted a little girl 5 months ago in December.
Just like everyone else's marriage, it's not easy, it's tough. But we persevered for 18 years and to have a day like today with my family of four was priceless. The long struggle just made me appreciate today all that much more and I am now truly content....
Kind of uncanny how it aligned with the Raptors big day as well, also 18 years in the making.

I remember during preseason he was bricking FTs
Early in the season he was dribbling off his foot and clanking Clutch shots
And now he's taking souls and hitting daggers
What a ride it's been
Go even further, during those 9 games he played for the Spurs I remember his shots getting blocked TWICE by Antonius Cleveland (not even in the league right now) and guys like Hollis Jefferson looking like Pippen defending him, as a fan of him it was a looooong miserable wait, especially since Kawhi never spoke about his quad, yet so many people was doubting his health.

Re: PG: KAWHI BRINGS WINTER TO HOUSE SIXERS
Some people don't even understand how funny that game winning shot is lol watch video closely.
-Meeks was the first one to kawhi
-Lowry ran the fastest I've ever seen him run
-Lin wasn't sure what to do. He leaned to the left, he leaned to the right, and just kept jumping up on the spot.
- the girl that hands the towels to the players (next to the bench) loses it
- one if the security guards in the blue **** (to the left of the bench) takes off!!! I have no clue where he went.
-The old guy standing next to Nurse looks like he got a good 30 years of life back
- some lady under the basket has her legs wrapped around her boyfriend
- miller wasn't sure if to run on the court, or go hug kawhi
And casey at home watching it all!
