In other B Miller news, Brandon Miller showing again why he's my top Raptors target after the big 2.

Re: 2023 Draft Prospect discussion
Is there a player who we can draft that we don’t have to develop his shot?

The one above your post. Or Keyonte George, Gradey Dick, Jett Howard, Taylor Hendricks, etc.traps#10 wrote:Is there a player who we can draft that we don’t have to develop his shot?
Taylor Hendricks is a HUGE sleeper at our pick. I mentioned him earlier but everyone pretty much ignored it.

I’m worried that our FO is more concerned about measurements and combine numbers than the actual shooting skills we desperately need asap.

Re: 2023 Draft Prospect discussion
Hendricks is a measurement guy too. Long as heck at 6'9". I wouldn't be surprised if he has Scottie esque measurements. But the difference is he's a 3+D guy from day 1, so if he develops his offense more he becomes a star.traps#10 wrote:BoyzNTheHood wrote:The one above your post. How high would you take Hendricks? From what I've seen he's got a fairly straight forward game. Straight line drives and good catch and shoot 3pt shooting (the shot looks great!). Very valuable 3&D skillset for someone as long and bouncy as him. He'd fit great on this team, but so long as we stay in the top 10 or so, I'd really prefer someone able to get to the basket, or at least create their own shot on the perimeter.
Also, the list of already strong shooters in our potential draft range should probably include Kris Murray, Terquavion Smith, and Brandon Miller

As long as he has the measurements, the FO can’t ignore his shooting skills. There won’t be any excuses unless there is a character flaw. The Raptors FO values character and measurements over skills it seems.

That not really true. Character, measurements and STATS. Raps use a lot of analytics during draft process.
You see him as a wing or a big? The logjam of 4's on our current roster is pretty big.

Re: 2023 Draft Prospect discussion
The guys I'd definitely take over him are, Wemby, Scoot, B. Miller, Thompson Twins, George, Whitmore, Black, and Whitehead. So 10th.grant101 wrote:BoyzNTheHood wrote:The one above your post. But at 10 it would be a toss up between Hendricks, Howard, Nick Smith, Walker, Dick, and Ware for me. I haven't hashed out those guys enough yet to make a choice, but I think Hendricks has a chance to be the best of the bunch from that group as long as he can play the 3/4. I know I'll sound crazy, but Hendricks might be more Kawhi than we thought Patrick Williams was, except he's more advanced than Kawhi at this age. Kawhi is an anomaly though so I'm not saying that's who he'll be, but I think that's just an easy way to project his game.

He looks like Harrison Barnes 2.0.

I haven't looked too much into Hendricks and I can't see Whitehead going ahead of Wallace.
I can see Smith slipping but I can't see him sliding later than 10. I also cant see a Top 10 without Walker in it. After 10, I think you're looking at Dick, Whitehead, Howard and Black.

Re: 2023 Draft Prospect discussion
If we don't land scoot/wemby, i'd likely lean whitemore, miller on the wing .. waiting to see how whitehead comes back. anthony black is a big guard with solid defense, he's intruiging if we want to replace fred. Curious how rest of seasons goes for GG as hes struggled but has the tools. maybe he goes back for another yr

Re: 2023 Draft Prospect discussion
Right now, my lottery board looks like this:
1. Wemby
2. Scoot
3. Whitmore
4. Amen/Miller
5. Miller/Amen
6. Smith/Ausar
7. Ausar/Smith
8. George/Wallace/Walker
9. Walker/Wallace/George
10. Wallace/George/Walker
11. Black
12. Dick
13. Howard
14. Whitehead
In the second half of the draft I like GG Jackson, Kris Murray, Terquavion Smith, Rayan Rupert, Marcus Sasser and Maxwell Lewis.
Combine and workouts are going to be huge for everyone but especially the Thompson twins, Black, Whitehead and George in the lottery.
I could also see the guys in the later first round I mentioned have a massive rise in stock if they do well there too.

I've seen a bunch of people giving love to Jarace Walker but he isn't a player that interests me at all, I just don't see it
