He's locked in til 2025/26 at a contract FVV wants to equal or exceed. That' why Miami would expect a huge haul. Siakam is at least attainable.

Draft Amen and we will still have a seriously solid young pair in Amen/Barnes.

He's not but he's very close to Siakam in impact these days, is younger, and is not an expiring and on quite a friendly deal, so he's definitely more valuable on the trade market than Siakam right now.
However, none of that matters because Miami will not want to deal him for picks. It makes no sense when they just made the Finals. They're gonna be looking to boost their team by any means necessary.

There is ZERO chance Bam is a Blazer unless Dame is going the other way...that would be completely counter to what either team would want.

No team in the league needs to upgrade their frontcourt and defense more than the Mavericks. Portland retains #3 while getting Dame that #2 in Siakam. Raps get Sharpe + lottery picks.

Dallas won't do this

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

Exactly.
This is just Portland posturing. Teams smell blood in the water so they sending out all the smoke signals they can that they not desperate to find a second star for Dame. Pascal or some other good but not top 5 in the nba star is going to be their target when it comes down to draft night.
If they don't trade the pick on draft night it means dame gone (probably the smart choice) and that seems unlikely. It seems their ownership/management wants to ride or die with Dame.

Feel like Dame and Portland have been beating around the bushes for years now.
Dame deserves to be in a franchise who will actually try to build around him in good faith.

It just took them so long to take an L on talent in a trade for the sake of fit. Their gm basically threw away his prime trying not to lose on a CJ trade. He was just too arrogant.
