chadfordinsider Chad Ford
Jazz (at No. 3) & Raptors (at No. 5) both seriously considering drafting Vesely. From what I can gather, he helped his chances today.

I hope he wows the Jazz. Anything to improve our chances of drafting Knight.

I typically take Ford for more of a conduit of draft misinformation than anything else. He's one of the most read guys and the quickest method of smokescreen.

I mean, Vesely plays a game, and we're supposed to believe anyone from either of these teams talks to Ford and truthfully reveals what they're thinking about Vesely? I don't buy it for a second.

Chad Ford again:

Informal GM poll: Who's the best int'l player in the draft? Vesley 5 votes; Kanter 4 votes; Valanciunas 3 votes. All said it's very close

Pretty in-depth scouting report on Vesely here written by David Locke:

I really hope we don't draft him.

It is very likely Vesely could be our guy... put it this way if this guy wasn't a euro ppl would be all over him. He is a very interesting prospect and fills a need at the SF, can also play good defense because of his length.

Not at all true. I dislike Vesely as a prospect and it has nothing to do with his being European, and way more to do with the fact that he isn't very good at basketball. Can't handle the ball, can't make FTs, can't really defend (at least not yet), doesn't have a position, not a very good shooter, and older than the rest of his class.

Umm... he can defend he defends usually the other teams biggest threat (based on David Lockes video of him), and can shoot the 3. What he can't do his nail a FT (can be taught see Amir), and catch the ball. I think he's a SF he quick enough to keep up with most of them.
I think of Odom/Kirilenko ceiling when seeing Vesley just with crazy hops.

Umm... Have you actually watched Vesely play in a game? He gets blown by constantly. Can't keep anyone in front of him. If he can't do that in the Euroleague, I have serious doubts he can do it in the NBA.

As far as his three-point shooting, he shot 28.2 per cent in the Adriatic League this year and 33.3 in the Euroleague on 0.6 makes per game. Of course, that's the Euro 3. Not sure you should be touting his shooting as a strength.
