Yea. He's our least favorite and the worst rotation player on our awesome team. Doesn't mean you get to treat him like garbage.

Most of this thread is not hating on McCaw (which is how the frustration manifests itself) - its really questioning Nurse's decision to play McCaw as much as he does. We all don't get it.

Seriously, folks acting like he's consistenly playing like John Salmons vs OKC

He sucks, but for the most part he isn't winning or losing us these games

You don't lose because of your 8th man, there are always bigger factors

Oh, he's quite a bit worse than John Salmons. Salmons played in the league for over a decade. By the time he got to the Raptors he was done, but he was still giving you more than McCaw is. And at least Casey had the whole veteran knowledge/experience thing to explain why he was playing him, Nurse doesn't even have that. McCaw is your generic scrub thrown into a role well beyond his capabilities for no reason that anybody else can see.

He's our third string PG and we start both our other ones... I could go on about injuries and rookie mistakes but at the end of the day, that pretty much sums in up in one sentence.

Seeing thomas with a short leash while Mccaw gets extended time is so annoying

A couple of automatic 3s from thomas go a long way compared to that one okay pass or steal from Mccaw

Nothing can convince me otherwise

He is one of the worst players in the entire league according to advanced statistics.

I prefer to watch the games over look at advanced stats, so I don't know every thing that goes into them but I'm pretty sure the designated 5th option type of player isn't going to have great advanced stats in most of the categories.

Every other team in the NBA would play Thomas over McCaw mainly because of the value in 3 point shooting. McCaw literally does nothing well.

Has anyone questioned Nurse on this? I'm legit curious what his logic is beyond INTANGIBLEZZZZ.

I'm starting my 9 day break from mentioning the name Patrick McCaw effective immediately. Need a break.

We're just two months away from the playoffs and McCaw is still playing 20+ minutes a game. Let it sink in.

Nurse is gonna pack McCaw in his suitcase & take him to Chicago.
Then in the middle of the All-Star game he'll sub in McCaw and the players will let him score like he's a special needs child to create a feel good story.

But you are accepting that he is a pg - which is what this thread would also question of nurse. He has never been a pg. And his profile doesn't suggest he is either - a career 2.9 assists/36 minutes, AST% of 12.3% (10% for his career; lowry career 30.6% if you want to compare), and the eye test fails badly also. He has a poor handle, can't shoot off the dribble, and again, is an ineffective passer.

Even if FVV and Lowry start and finish, you couldn't possibly conceive of staggering the rest of their minutes for the rest of the game? They could play 20 minutes together, distribute the rest without each other. Sure give a 5 or 6 minutes to McCaw , but 15? 25?

I am good... ;-)

I don't like undercutting a coach, especially one as good as Nurse but Kyle or Masai have to pull this guy aside. Is it possible the other players and Masai think McCaw is good too?

Did I not say nurse’s love of overplaying this guy would cost us ? I spit nothing but facts on here. lets be real here guys. I keep this board balance! Some people may not like what I post but a good 90% of the things I say turn out to be facts!! Wait until playoff’s when McCaw gets us eliminated smh McCaw is not a NBA player!!!! This is the biggest stain on nurses legacy here. I don’t know what he see’s in McCaw smh i never wanna see anybody get hurt but Im good with seeing McCaw misses games.

Some people just want you to ignore that their girlfriend has been 1/11 overall and 1/7 on 3's last two games and -15 +/-, but know better than the coach, so they want to point your attention elsewhere by shouting at clouds.

It's called confirmation bias. All you said when we lose next, it'll be because of McCaw. That's not a debate worth having because we will lose a game regardless. So just waiting for the first loss to have your 'Aha!' moment is called confirmation bias.

I can say the next time we lose is because FVV was overplayed and I can conveniently ignore all the time we win, and even say we won despite overplaying FVV because I won't genuinely have to admit my logic is faulty and when the team loses I can use that as validation for my faulty logic.

I don't even like McCaw on this roster but I know confirmation bias when I see it.
