What about him do you have an issue with?

He's not putting up the greatest PPG but he seems to have a game that is pretty multi-faceted. Decent handles, can create his own shot in the midrange, can shoot the 3, rebound decently well, defend decently well.

IMO he gives me Carl Landry/Paul Millsap type vibes.

I can see it. plays a relatively simple but effective hard-nosed game on both ends. advanced stats darling. defends with intensity, got a shot on him. the issue, if you even want to call it an issue, is that he gives us a lot of what we already have and doesn't really fill any holes. but he would fit in perfectly if masai is still gung-ho about the defense-first hustle thing.

Amen and Scottie would be an insane duo. Just picture it.

Ball movement would be beautiful. Fast breaks impeccable. Surround them with shooters and a decent PnR C and it's a wrap.

Whitehead is that smooth scorer we all want. He's being underutilized at Duke, but he'll flourish as a pro.

Anthony Black is so underrated. Clyde on the draft forum compares him to Cade with a worse jump shot and I can see it. If he develops that jumper he'd be a huge steal anywhere you take him after 2.

GG isn't it at all for me. He went to a bottom feeder and can't keep his percentages above the poverty line. Much like the Thompson twins his competition is severely lacking.

I’m also waiting to see what Baba does once he gets his legs under him. Hendricks will also rise. This drafted stacked with bigger wings.

Ideal situation would be to get a second 2023 pick and get him later while being in the top 5 with our own

I think Miller's ability to get to and finish at the rim will improve as his handle improves. It's not a question of athleticism as some have suggested imo. If you watch his high school tape he's plenty athletic. The problem right now is his handle isn't that great to allow him to get through tight spaces on the way to the rim. This means he has to move slowly, which means that there's usually a defender already waiting by the time he gets there. His best takes to the rim are when he takes advantage of hard close outs and when he's able to get downhill on a running start, because those straight line drives don't require advanced handles. Right now his handles are 2021 Pascal-level. We need them to be 2022 Pascal + eventually, and I think he'll get there.

Outside of a top 4 pick, Black is one of my fav guys for Raps to look at. Black and Wallace are two guys that are very intriguing for their two way play and potential fit.

Black is quite intriguing. However, if he doesn't develop a jumpshot, we could be looking at another Ben Simmons.

May as well start getting to know guys in the top 10.

Gradey Dick probably isn't a Masai-type of player...but if he is BPA where we might pick somewhere mid-late lottery...is he closer to Klay Thompson or is he Nik Stauskas/Luke Kennard/Adam Morrison?

He's no where near as bad as Simmons. He's at 32% right now. Simmons only took 3 attempts his entire college season, and Black has already taken 50.

Brandon Miller is gonna go top 5 for sure. That dude is a future star. See him as a Jaylen Brown/Paul George type player.

Also, interesting to note that SI had Jarace at #6 in their most recent mock.

Plus, it's not so much Simmons "can't" shoot threes, as he's afraid to shoot threes. Plus, he's a bit of a headcase.

- thompson twins are athletic freaks. sam thinks amen has no chance to develop a shot. they'll need to be developed right in my mind. i think that overtime league is a joke personally.

I thunk Miller had a chance to be special, no doubt. Brown and George were a little more creative with the ball in their hands, even at this stage but yeah. I have Millrr firmly in the Top 5.

My big question is...which Thompson twin is better? If Masai has the 3rd or 4th pick in the draft...who does he take?
