real talented for a college player. not sure how it translate into the nba but definitely has some potential.

Really, really like Brad Beal. I also think he's going to be a potential All-Star in the NBA. He just makes winning plays every time I watch him, and a lot of it, doesn't show up in the box score. He's always moving, he runs the offence on occasion, and really, just seems to be at the right place at the right time more often than not.

I've been watching mainly Beal and Barnes lately, and I think either would be great choices for this team (in fact, lately, I've been leaning towards Beal).

Yes to all of this. If we make out of this draft with Beal or Barnes, it will feel like straight highway robbery.

I think Barnes is unreachable, so I think the best fit would be Beal.
However, I have my concern. He doesn't have the quickness and leaping ability.

I would like him to improve massively on his ball handling (hopefully this summer) and play the point, or even the PG spot (bring the ball up). I think he can defend PG spot with Jonas behind, and have good enough court vision to provide great passing. He can be Kidd on Dallas, and even come off the bench, he can be great.

After looking at the advanced stats there are several things to note. First off, I'm sick of looking at players with just raw athletiscm and not much actual basketball talent. The team has enough athletes and needs guys who can simply provide actual value to the team and don't need much further development.

From the wing slot I think you have your top tier guys, and then there are several overrated 2nd tier guys in Beal, MKG and Quincy Miller, who really are just pure athletes. After that; however, you have some guys who can fall in this draft that are really great shooters and have a good feel for the game in Doron Lamb and Josh Jenkins.

So in a worst case scenario if Toronto drafts a bit later and Lamb and Barnes are both gone I still don't like the idea of reaching for a 2nd tier 2-guard who can't shoot and needs much more development. I'd rather either trade down if possible, or just BPA like Sullinger and work out another deal involving Ed Davis and DeRozan to move up.

Disagree with almost all of it. I wouldn't call any of those three just pure athletes. I wouldn't even call Miller an athlete.

Question: who has a higher TS? Harrison Barnes or Michael Kidd-Gilchrist? Who's the better passer between Lamb, Kidd-Gilchrist and Barnes? Use any metric you like. Who gets to the line more out of the three? Who's the better defender out of the three? Rank them in terms of ball-handling. How do their freshmen PERs match-up?

not a Beal fan unless he measures out to be 6'6 or seomthing, which he won't.

If you're undersized at SG you better have superb athleticism or shooting ability. He's average at both. Role player at best.

I'm just talking about your tier system. If it's based on what fits with DeMar, then I would suggest that's a bad idea. And yes, Miller and Beal are floor spacers. They can both hit threes.

I'm just talking about your tier system. If it's based on what fits with DeMar, then I would suggest that's a bad idea. And yes, Miller and Beal are floor spacers. They can both hit threes.

You don't not choose a guy because of Demar or anyone else. You stack and let them battle it out for playing time. Whoever is the best wing wins out. If they so happen to play nicely together then we're lucky.

Imagine that Anthony Davis, Harrison Barnes, MKG and Jeremy Lamb are not available when we pick, what would you do? I don't like Brad Beal and I assume that Drummond will stay at UConn.

- Draft BPA (which could be Thomas Robinson or Sullinger, nice players in positios that are already covered)?
- Trade down to get Kendall Marshall?
- Gamble on a possible star/bust like Perry Jones?
- Just trade the pick.
- Any other idea...?
