We were down by 13 points to start the 4th quarter of game 7 in the first round against the Pacers. In reality we were lucky as a star-less team to make the Eastern finals.

No we weren't. You're thinking of Game 5, when the series was tied.

And no, the Raptors didn't overachieve. In fact they overcame subpar performances from a number of their players, and some very questionable decision making from their head coach.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

They all look defeated. You can see the seed of doubt has been planted in a lot of these guys' heads. It's still first to 4, a lot of ball to be played, but this isn't looking good for Cleveland.

GSW has so many interchangeable parts, Cavs can't force the same mismatches they're used to exploiting.

I really think the only way Cavs get anything going here is if LeBron goes beast mode and carries them scoring wise. But that'll steal them a game or 2 at best. Other guys gotta make shots to actually win. Your not gonna beat Golden State shooting 25% from 3. You can't keep up.

Agree. LeBron can only do so much esp against GSW. Irving / Love have been disappointing and their supporting cast hasn't shown up. As you said the series isn't over, but GSW has gotten into the Cavs heads.

If the Warriors get KD...I know they'll have to move some key pieces but still that would just be unfair.

They've got too much length and size defensively to switch and zone up then offensively they can just simply attack the Cavs on the offensive glass. Just not enough weapons to counter against the Warriors.

I had the Cavs winning early on in the playoffs, didn't want to stray from that, but this is exactly what I thought would happen once it became Warriors-Cavs matchup. Warriors guys are all essentially the same height, active, mobile and athletic. They're all interchangeable. You can't really create mismatches anywhere. Add in arguably the best LeBron defender in Iguodala and it really is just a bad matchup for the Cavs.

I did expect them to shoot the ball better though still. I'm surprised with the 2 blowouts. Warriors are a tough team too in the sense that they go on those runs so fast, they have that over drive switch. You can blink and turn around and your down 20 points. That's tough to always be going up against.

They're just too good

Watching this series makes me grateful for Kyle. Lowry has more heart than anyone on this Cleveland team.

Maybe game 5? Raptors nearly blew the lead in game 7 (so I've been told, I couldn't bring myself to watch).

Cavs done messed up firing David Blatt. Atleast the team played inspired defense under his regime.

You're right on the game. However I don't know how many more series you need to see to be convinced that having DeRozan as your primary scoring option is not going to get you far. We got here despite his "subpar performances" because we have a very strong supporting cast, arguably top 5 in the league. It has nothing to do with Casey, as we know he was never a specialist on offensive schemes anyways.

Now if the Cavs come back in this game, do you bring Lebron back in or reward the guys who brought you back? :)
