Siakam is better than Bum Adebayo.

Agreed. And thats why I don’t understand why they would reject Siakam but want Bam instead.

If Paul George is available, that could mean Kawhi gets traded at some point between now and the deadline as well.

BRING HIM HOME.

Wouldn’t that be something if he could stay healthy?

TOR-POR finals too good to be true.

I think he is, because Bam at the 5 is just such a good center in the modern NBA. He doesn't clog the lane on O because he can handle the ball and so doesn't clog the lane at the 5, and on defence he can switch and is great in the pick and roll. I think it's just easier to build a team around Bam at the 5 than Siakam at the 4. Also, Siakam was a great defender but it's been a good long while since I've really been impressed with his defence for more than a game or 2 at a time.

Bam-Scottie-OG-Trent-VanVleet would be really strong defensively for instance and everyone can either shoot or handle it, whereas a Miami team of Center-Siakam-Butler-Herro-Lowry or whoever (or start Martin at the 2 and Herro at the 1 since Siakam and Butler will handle it) just looks lower upside and less structurally sound to me.

I like Pascal, but NBA history, both in the 3pt heavy era and before, is just pretty unforgiving for 3rd team all NBA style PFs. PF is sort of the easiest spot to fill because SFs who can shoot the 3 can mostly slide up there now and give you better spacing to compensate for having less game than a Pascal type.
Where's the D?

With news of Charlotte preferring Brandon Miller, Portland is not keeping Lillard, Scoot, Simons on the same team.

Clears the way for the obvious. Not sure why they wouldn't want Siakam, he'd be a great fit there

Siakam def better than Bam. Bam was playing with a clearly better player in Butler while Siakam has been ran to the ground being top dog on our team. I've seen Bam look like Precious out there, he can obv improve but Siakam is the better overall player if you understand ball.

Jordan makes a final bad pick before he sells the team?

Brandon Miller is that good. Wing players are harder to find.

Draft Amen and we will still have a seriously solid young pair in Amen/Barnes.

Not sure what Houston could tag on to make it enticing enough. Highly doubt they include Sengun or Green

I like Eason but the fit is weird if we’d have Amen, Scottie, and OG already. I’d still do it for 4 and Eason. Worse case is we flip Eason later on for a better fit

Yeah wouldn't even worry about fit when it comes to Eason. I want that kid in ANY deal with Houston. He reminds me of a young Kawhi so much. Even if he's not, I see him being a very very good player by the time he's OG's age entering his prime.

#4, Eason and Kevin Porter for Siakam, or #4 and Eason for OG. I'm fine with either deal (though I'd hate to lose OG).

But you don't take Amen with #4, you take Whitmore.

And then take Kobe or Wallace with #13.

If Paul George is actually available him going to Portland is inevitable.

But cant see Kawhi signing off on that, unless CLippers getting back another star so I think its smoke

There's an obvious 3 team trade here with a proven duo that's one a title before

Simons and 3 for PG should do it.

  this is fantastic!

The PG rumor is definitely smoke put out by Portland lol. Doesn’t really make sense for either Portland or Clips

Aside from Zion and Kawhi, PG is the least reliable star in the league. Probably wouldn’t even play a single playoff game for the Blazers

If Scoot goes 2, I think the 3rd pick drops in value.

OG + Siakam for Shaedon + 3 + Simons

Pick Miller.
Hope Wallace falls to 13

A foursome of Barnes, Miller, Sharpe and Wallace looks very well balanced and complementary IMO.

Still have GTJ, Precious and Koloko. Add Simons.

Keep Jak. You might be good quickly. Alot of high end talent there.

I think Portland forgot PG and Kawhi was a package deal before they put out that smoke screen

Not to mentioned they owe multiple picks over the next few years and moving backwards is not in their best interest. Kawhi would never sign off on a rookie as his costar and would immediately want out.
