The guy has a standing reach close to Dwight Howard & higher than Bogut.

Add the fact that he has a very good standing vert, good timing for blocks & seems to have a muscular frame that can add a lot more size..........

He can play C if we want him to play C.

Best player in Florida. Sought after by many many big programs... just 18 years old. Has length and a killer shot. Could be an incredible pick up for us. I would argue he is the pick for us at 3 at 4 and at 5.

Don't go using college recruiting as a means to judge a player's NBA talent. There are plenty of players who were just as sought after coming out of high school that went on to do very little on a professional level.

There are absolutely no concerns about his size or athleticism.

Can he play basketball? Is he coachable? Does he have the drive to become successful? Those are the big questions.

The one thing that is different about Bismack from other African prospects is that he comes from money. Some of these guys come from poorer African backgrounds & are just happy to be here.....making an NBA contract. Bismack comes from a family that has expectations.

from what i have read he just started playing basketball a few years ago, the fact he is earning minutes in the ACB would lead me to believe that he is coachable. He seems to have some serious drive.

based on what i saw in the video posted here, as well as the one from draftexpress (nike hoop summit) this guy looks like the real deal. I take him at 5 (if he isnt gone already).

If those measurements are true and he is strong enough to hold his own down low, I think he should easily be the guy we target at 5.

he will be a C. a defensive anchor, with no offensive game. Basically exactly what we need.

If his defensive abilities are as good as advertised, and he can develop finishing ability similar to Amir with a jumper similar to Ibaka he'd be a HUGE steal.

I watched the whole Nike Hoops Summit live online.

He was unbelievable. He was by far the best player on the International team during that game. He was the only player that could match up with Team USA's supreme athleticism & the only reason the game was somewhat competitive at times.

Make no mistake, he'd be a massive 3 year project for us, but in the end it might pay off.

My biggest concern is our recent history of developing C's (piss poor). Having said that, Ed's development this season as a 4 has been outstanding. They did a great job with him.

Thankfully, it's a Chad Ford mock. While I know his sources have him plugged in, he's not exactly the best talent evaluator doing a draft mock-up (his fascination with foreign players has been noted in the past).

I'm expecting those results to look REALLY different 2-3 weeks from now once he starts getting his sources to talk.

If Leonard was truly worthy of a #6 pick, I'd rather we just take him at 5.

BTW: I'd love to see Thompson picked by Detroit. Perfect organization for him.

BTW, NBA draft combine starts tomorrow and ends on Sunday. Gonna be interesting to see if Kanter can test out well athletically.

I think he's going to be a project too (especially offensively), but I think his defense can pay dividends for us pretty early, even if it does take some time to fully adjust to playing here.

Chad Ford is such a douche, recently in Bill Simmon's podcast, he was basically cutting him up and would probably end up being in a situation just like how Rubio's in right now and now he has us picking him.

Chad Ford mentioned (if I heard correctly) in his chat with Simmons that Biyombo will not be doing ANY workouts.

Return to Toronto Raptors
