KaRondo is having a huge half but he's an awful shooter even from the line.

his free throws were disappointing as hell, especially when it mattered.

No doubt, but it can be improved as long as he doesn't have baseball glove sized hands. Take Myck and add shooting ability, and you have quite the point guard as long as he doesn't become jumpshot happy.

Yeah, I really like Beal. I think he'll be one of the best players to come out of this draft, and would make for a great pick in the latter portion of the top 10. That's great value in that range, similar to Eric Gordon going 7th, Rudy Gay going 8th, and so forth.

Re: Official Raptors 2012 NBA Draft Thread, Part 4
- Perry Jones looking aggressive today - 5 of his 7 made baskets came from the paint or at the rim. He's showing a really nice floor game today rebounding the ball, starting and running the break, displaying the soft shooting touch at the top of the key, and some post-moves here and there with the shake-shimmy turnaround fade over his right shoulder.
- Quiet second half for Quincy Miller. I'm starting to get annoyed by Quincy Miller floating around the mid-post and not doing anything. Either call for the ball or move.
- Myck Kabongo looked really underwhelming in the first half. I haven't really been paying attention to him, but the way his finishes his lay-ups off the glass can easily be blocked. I don't know whether he's grounded on his drives or a matter of having trouble finishing high off the glass. And his free-throw shooting is atrocious. Got fouled on a 3-point attempt and had the chance for a 4-point play, but couldn't hit the freebies

no pg prospect worth caring this year, yup, looks like my boy Kyrie killing it in the NBA (woot 32 points last game, its EASY!) and Kemba doing some good things too. They are worth glamoring, for sure. So why you mad bro?

Nice to see Myck bounces back in 2nd half. Although its funny to see him misses few attempts when he drives, he never really lay it up high off the glass.

PJ3 is such a troll, he's like a battery. When he's on, he's on, but when he's shut off he's like completely MIA. It's pretty scary if he plays for us. We not only have to worry about whether he could play the 3 or not, also we have to get pissed at his battery mode too.

Steely Reserve wrote:Uhhh, yea he is. You may not see it on mixtapes but certainly within the flow of the game, they play very similar.
Quincy Miller has shown far more advanced footwork, a crafty high-post game and far better ball-handling. Q. Miller excels when he has the ball in his hands creating for himself unlike Deng who feeds off of his teammates. The only thing they have shown some common ground is their catch-and-shoot coming off a down-screen towards the wing.

We gotta look for Miler or Beal if we're not in the Top 10. I hope Miller declares because I don't like the way Baylor uses him. When he has the ball in his hands or the system work through him, he looks really good.
I think I'd more DeRozan for Beal if it came down to it. He's going to be good.

It has to be noted that both defenses were **** and that Texas' bigs couldn't start for half the high schools in the state.

Not only Steely is hyping his on and off girlfriend PJ3, but he's also got a bad comparison of Qmiller. Deng is more of the shots off of screens or cuts to the rim type of player, Qmiller's game reminds me off Lamar Odom abit, dribbler & getting baskets near baseline and high post area.

That's exactly it. I've watched about 5 or 6 of his 15 games this season. When he's on you're thinking NBA All-star. Like today or his 1st game of the season.
But then he can have those games like against Mississippi State where he's just dogging it.
I think part of it is coaching and part of it is personal motivation. He's going to get some GM fired- either the GM's who pass on him because he becomes an all-star and they passed, or his GM who drafts him and then he craters.
Today he was awesome.
