I think it's because they don't move on offense. You don't beat a zone by standing around in the same places.

When I watch Wiggins play, I don't get that WOW factor. I only get it from Smart and Parker this year so far. Last year it was Trey Burke. He plays very passive, kinda like Perry Jones III in Baylor. Maybe its just the way the team plays, but IDK... not very impressed.

Yeah, after the pass they don't cut into open space. Too much useless and slow passing on the perimeter. Embiid was behind the entire zone defense and they couldn't puncture the ball through.

Kansas is handling the zone horribly.

Yep. All the players stay within the same general area from the beginning of the possession to the end. It's incredible how inefficient and poorly designed the offense is.

Way too many long jumpers. That shot is going to be there at the end of the shot clock against the zone.

Embiid really moves the ball for a big man. It doesn't stick in his hands when he's passed the ball into the post

Definitely team plays...wiggy is pretty good at using PnR sets...KU doesn't run those with him which I understand why..but in the NBA he can excel at that set where he uses it to find little holes or angles and attacks them right to the rim ....his wow factor may be on defense ...I guess..

Kansas never attacks the basket, nor brings the bigs outside of the paint to open some driving lanes. Defenses can just clog the paint and move around when the ball swings around the perimeter and occasionally the inside. Such a simple team to defend as their offense is right now, no need for physical exertion on defense.

If they don't change up their offense soon they'll keep losing games they should easily be winning. Talk about shackling your players...

Compare Harrison Barnes to Wiggins... I curious to see how you guys feel about that type of player comparison

Barnes was a better shooter.

I think Wiggins has better handles although he hasn't been given many opportunities to handle it because I never saw Barnes splitting screens with a crossover or playing with his handles.

Defensively, Wiggins is already better. Has so many tools. His reflex to react after he's been beaten, the second effort and just the tenacity to guard the ball Tony Allen style defense.

I don't see anything similar except they're playing in a similar environment where they aren't featured players in the offense.

I'm telling y'all, I was watching LaVine play today, the way he moves up and down the court, is Carter-esque. He's effortless in his movements, like Carter was with us early in his career.
