LOL

I think DX has these 6 completely backwards. No way in hell would I take Jackson, Skal or Ellenson over Rabb, Davis or Luwawu.

Watch a video of Luwawu he can't take a shot until he gets his feet set, he is also unable to shoot off the dribble.
As for Ellenson, Bismack Biyombo would give him a bloody nose every practice blocking shots back into his face.
Ellenson is a dinosaur trying to make a NBA team with his lack of defensive abilities and speed. Think Rafael Araujo
with the ability to shoot the 3 ball.

Been watching videos of Luwawu, and the way he avoids contact on offense is very Rossish

He gets to be the best Canadian to play for the only Canadian team, he could be the future face of the franchise and the raptors as a franchise are peaking. He'd miss out on maybe a million over this rookie contact but it could work out for him in the long run. Wishful thinking.

It would be a TERRIBLE IDEA for him and the team.

He's a combo guard.

There's SIX guards on this team that are in the rotation.

He's canadian, fine. That's no reason to draft someone.

NBAdraft.net has the Raptors taking Ivan Rabb. His comparison is Chris Bosh. Hmm....

I don't expect our PG/SG line up to stay the same in the off season. Derozan wanting max, emergence of Powell/Wright. I like CoJo but im starting to see what Wright can possibly be and with Lowry's player option coming up, might be a good opportunity to be prepared. The Canadian thing is about marketing which means nothing to us but means alot to the players business wise. If we have a hometown advantage to take Murray at 9, it would be hard to argue he's not the BPA at that spot.

I feel most comfortable drafting Sabonis as our PF think he is the most complete of any of the available PFs basically a complete package. http://www.draftexpress.com/video/12061/ Whether we take him with 9th pick or Masai trades down to get him such as 9th to Denver for 15th & 18th. For our pick like Juan Hernangomez think he can be a a great 2nd unit SF because of his size and has a 3PT shot. http://www.draftexpress.com/video/12100/.

I agree with you about Brice Johnson. He's the guy I want with our pick as well.

We still have to find roster spots for these guys. I could see Masai consolidating some picks to move up this year or next year.

To open up 2 possible roster spots get rid of DeAndre Daniels and buy out Bruno Caboclo, the only thing Bruno brings
to the table is physical tools everything else is lacking.

James Johnson and Jason Thompson are not coming back. Scola and Biyombo might not be coming back. We will have at least two roster spots open and possibly as many as four.

It's really not the problem some on this board have made it out to be.

Seriously how do we know Thompson won't be back?

You must have missed the vid where he comes slashing in at high speed and crushes some guy with surprisingly no call either way. I had no sense whatsoever that when crashing towards the hoop he was avoiding contact.

There seems to be some MAJOR disagreement on Demetrius Jackson.

Draftexpress has him at 11.
NBAdraft.net has him at 32?

WOW

Just outside the lottery or in the 2nd round. Somone is gonna be very wrong I think.

Ross, Luwawu, Davis all day. Unless Brown or someone else falls. We have gifted teams drafting 9th Iguodala and Drummond. Time for someone ie. Sacramento to gift wrap us a star.

This time of year guys are all over the map. Until combine and workouts its very fluid. Guys that have grown since last measurements, and guys who kill it in testing go up, then workouts happen and guys with skills rise again.

I'll bet at least two names people have consistently called top 15 drop into 20's and two names from late first round end up in lotto. Just the nature of the draft.

Except neither Iguodala or Drummond are stars, or ever were stars.

Iguodala has been a good complementary player. Drummond, four years after coming into the league, is basically still a rebounder and dunker. He's a huge liability on offense because he can't shoot free throws.

Drummond could be awesome if he had any BBIQ. But give him a few more years, and where to be and where to go will eventually get drilled into him. Then he will start to look pretty damn good.

Kind of like DD. Except with a better start to his career. DD was pretty bad for the first few seasons. But now, through a ton of hard work and coaching, he has become an all-star. And a decent player. I think he was a decent human being all along.

I'm a little shocked to see Dr Positivity pumping Thon at #27. Did he really screen that well in your model? Who do you have right in front and behind him?

Oh for sure, it's definitely too early to give up him developing other aspects of his game. There's no doubt he's an elite rebounder. But benches around the league are filled with guys who are good rebounders. Drummond has youth on his side, so we'll have to wait and see.
