the game plan is simple. You don’t start a player the the Celtics already showed you they’re not going to guard  I mean it’s not rocket science you know  the Celtics are not guarding Marc Gasol which means it’s 1 extra player roaming around thats going to always be there to help on pascal, Lowry or Fred and makes it harder for these players to get going.. Anybody that watched the last Game heard jack point this out at least 4 times. THEY’RE NOT GUARDING GASOL!!

I’m pretty sure when Nurse watched video of that game he noticed that.

lol its not that simple to "not guard" Gasol. You have to guard him on screen and roll coverages, if not, our players will have open looks with space coming off the screen every time. Thats not how you defend players you want to let shoot like Gasol. You clearly don't know what you're talking about.

Celtics will put Smart on FVV when Gasol is on instead of Powell.

The loss of Hayward is pretty big - Celtics now has no bench scoring.

I have no doubt that our new fathers will be Wanamaker, the two Williams, and Langford.

I'm concerned that the celtics are one of the only teams if not only team that have physical guards like ours and can make it hard on our main shot creators.

I want siakam to take it personal vs JB he's great.

This is because we will help off Gasol and double Kembas man if need be.

But assuming both teams make it to the next round. This should be one of the best series of the playoffs. Two of the best coaches in the league on a neutral site. Should be fun.

How big is the loss of Hayward for you guys?

In terms of the starters, I don’t think it’s a big deal. Smart makes us a bit better defensively and I think our Tatum, Brown and Walker can take on Hayward’s offense no issue.

It’s really our bench that it effects. Smart was our best playmaker off the bench. Right now it’s Wanamaker, Kanter and a bunch of inconsistent young players. They looked good last night but Against an elite defensive team like the raptors expecting some trouble

I have vivid memories of Hayward torching our 2nd unit... Maybe Brad Stevens mixes it up rest Walker early and then lead the 2nd unit ?

Last night it was Tatum and 4 bench guys for a 3-5 min run and Tatum went full James Harden for a little bit.

But I am expecting some different bench rotations in the second round. I expect Robert Williams to have a bigger role in the next series. But who knows and that’s the biggest issue. It looked like we had a set rotation going into the playoffs. Now it’s a question mark with Hayward’s injury.

I still think we can beat you but it will be interesting to see who steps up.

I am going to enjoy watching Smart flop-fling himself like fish out of water but annoy the crap out of every Raptor. I badly want him (and his contract) on the Raps.

I'm so pumped for this Raptors/Celtics series.

For sure its really watching 2 badasses facing off in a chess match. Celtics potential can be scary.

Nurse will be more warmed up because against the Nets he's coaching against someone (Jacque Vaughan) who clearly has a brain in his head. Stevens can go on autopilot to out-coach Brett Brown.

That being said, Steph is on another level. Real talk. Dame has narrowed the gap, no doubt. No Gwen Stefani.

Steph is great, but I’d take Lillard over him in the playoff game. He couldn’t even beat out Iggy for finals MVP.

OUch!   Yeah, still baffled at how Iggy won it.

Right now RIGHT NOW? Yeah, I am taking Dame as well.

Examining the entire body of work, still gotta side with Dell's boy.

It is fair to side with Curry. He is a HoFer, but I think Lillard is just a cooler player in every way and Curry is a spoiled dork.

In the 2019 playoffs, Dame shot it right over PG from 30 feet away. Steph missed his last shot in Game 6 of the Finals. That's what people will remember. Also, Steph has had a LOT more help than Lillard over his career. If Steph really cares about legacy, he still has to tend to it in his remaining years. For starters, don't hook up with another Top 3 player.

You nailed it. You think about Lillard, from Oakland goes to play on Weber St., stays in Portland through a rebuild and stays on top despite losing LMA. They were out of the playoffs this year but he decided to come back and make a charge. Curry just sat. I know GSW was totally out of it, but when has Curry overcome any odds like what Lillard has faced?

I think celts and miami are the toughest teams in the playoffs... if raps can get by celts... its on to the finals and a win, imo... but celts are very solid.

I gotta give it to Jalen. I didn't start to care about the Raps until after Vince was traded. Jalen took over as the ringleader, climbing up on the scorer's table and egging on the crowd. I was reading about this and thought it looked intriguing. 15 years later, here I am - a thoroughly satisfied seasons ticket holder and all-around fan.

And generally speaking, Jalen has our back on air. He continually reminds Jacoby that Jacoby didn't have us in the playoffs for this season. But, Jalen was badly manipulated by his sources a year ago in asserting that Kawhi was "99%" likely to re-sign with the Raps. Clearly, Uncle Dennis put that out there to ensure that the Clippers went through with the PG deal.

this time I am not watching and Duncan Robinson 6-for-7 from 3...that was unexpected..but yet again, this bubble thing without the fans&media being in your face, the players might not be feeling the pressure the same way.
