I don't think the first point matters as much ("unwilling to wait that long for picks"; picks are always a valuable tradeable asset, especially distant ones).

As for the second, I don't think the Nets are even making an offer for OG, but I just wanted to respond to show what it might look like, hypothetically. I also don't think any team is giving up lightly protected or unprotected distant future 1st round picks for OG Anunoby, those are reserved for all star caliber players, and it's extremely dangerous to give that up for OG.

I only recall one comment from Nurse about him being unplayable if he wasn't playing any defense, and that was 2 months ago when he was in full inefficient chuck mode. He's turned it around completely since then.

That's what I don't think a lot of people understand. Trade value isn't just based on how good a player is, but also how tradeable. OG fits on every single team, every system. The floor has got to be 3 FRPs.

All he said was GTJ doesn't fit here if he doesn't play defense. GTJ wasn't doing well on the defensive end to start the year. Since Nurse took that jab GTJ has really stepped it up. GTJ fits the team very well if he forces turnovers and shoots the ball the way he's been shooting lately.

He’s been better than CP3 this year, but you could bring him off the bench if you want. It’d be a strange decision from a ‘winning’ perspective, but it’d be a good three guard lineup if minutes were evenly distributed.
