Starting to get more comfy at Baylor....You can see that untapped potential to be a 2 way beast and a 3 level scorer....Impressive game for VJ

Flagg will probably be the best all-around player, but I'm not sure if he's got the bag to be a #1 offensive option. If the Raps do get the #1 pick, Flagg is the prototype they typically target.
If we're talking about having the bag to be a #1 option then I would say that it's actually his teammate Harper. My concerns with Bailey are he seems to have poor shot selection but be a tough shot maker, and he can't really blow by defenders off the dribble. I think right now, Demin is the better prospect just in terms of skillset.

He hit a 3 and got most of his buckets at the rim in transition, what 3 levels? Have you seen him operate in the mid range?

His jumpshot is far from broken and that athletic abilty will already translate to the NBA ....He has plenty of time to develop his mid range game....He has 3 level scoring potential no question....He can develop into that Jimmy Butler type if all things go well....

Can't you say that about every rookie though. They all got time to develop a mid-range game.
Has VJ shown any signs? Like a good touch, pull-up ability, fluidity, willingness to take shots from there, go to moves, etc.?

Well he doesn't have a broken Jumpshot and has good form when shooting....Also who knows what role the coach at Baylor wants and maybe he doesn't get the green light there to iso much due to the system they run?....But he deff has shown he can create for himself in the past if you watched him in High school....But yeah his big advantage is his athletics and not many people in the world have what Edgecomb has in that department....So the other things can be developed over time....Can't teach atheletic ability

Ivisic again stuffing the stat sheet. I think his shooting and passing would do well in Darko's system.

None of the mocks really have him anywhere near the first round right now. And I realize he's got some flaws as a prospect, but I would love if he dropped to the Raps 2nd round Portland pick. Of course, if he keeps playing like this with that efficiency, he'll likely move up draft boards.
In the Raptors development system, I think he'd be a perfect backup for Yak, and would provide a great change of pace with his ability to stretch the floor and protect the rim. Let him learn from Yak and Kelly next year, and then give him minutes the next. And if Chomche has developed into anything by then, well that's just a luxury they can deal with.

He turns the ball over BUT in EACH game he has more blocks than fouls.

Kind of rooting for Tre Johnson and Maluach at this point
If we end up with Tre, out of BBQ I think we should eventually moving on from IQ and replace him with a large defensive guard. Feels like the defense between IQ and Mitchell/Shead is night and day.
For Maluach, I'd try to work out some type of trade using the IND 1st + w/e.

Seeing the emergence of all these different lottery options is making it a whole lot less of a worry if we do rise in the standings a bit but of course the caveat is that this is definitely the soft portion of the schedule all-around and we should learn a lot more once these prospects get into conference play and beyond.

I'm very stats biased now in the draft, so I don't like weighing in too early with these wild small samples.
If Malauch is really 250, that's likely a 270ish player in his prime. That's very appealing to me, in an NBA that is getting bigger at the star level.

He is on some really great sites on first round and his twin is one of main winners from season start, from 80ish on mocks in weak 2024 draft now middle od second round

Looks like an Oladipo type player...not in the same caliber as some of other guys in the top 4.
As of now, it's almost like:
Flagg
Ace / Demin / Harper
VJ / Traore

I don't expect us to have the worst record but we probably will have a bottom 7 record at the end of the season.

I've been doing the math in my head as follows:
Right now we are 3-12. Let's say at the 20 game mark we are 5-15. When the entire healthy cavalry comes back, let's say we go on a .500 run for the remainder of the season...that nets an extra ~30 wins from 62 games.
So around 35 wins is the ceiling for this team.
Anticipating some league wide tanking later this year, that would push us down to like #6.
I'm just really hoping for a top 4 pick. As long as we stay top 4, i'm good. We might have to go send a hit team to kneecap Poeltl after the trade deadline if he's still here.

Ivisic is 7'2 245lbs, though his shoulders are not as broad. He is older but do you think in 2 years, Maluach will be able to shoot 3's and pass like a guard? Ivisic already has NBA range above the break. They both protect the rim but Ivisic also gets over 1 steal per game.
Do we just draft old 5 year senior Kalkbrenner with the Portland 2nd pick? He should at least be a poor man's shorter Zach Edey but a solid backup C.
