For example, if Toronto is down by 1 and Derozan goes for the game winning shot, and gets body slammed by all five Brooklyn players, then a non-call here would not even affect your FTA list despite it having major impact on the outcome of the game. It'll still look like Derozan got the benefit of the whistle all series long.

It's an extreme example but I'm just using it to illustrate the pointlessness of your post.

100? Would100 free throws for derozen do it?

If you understood my post then you would know the answer to your own question.

I think I should clarify. I'm not looking for evidence of bad reffing. I'm just looking at the calls and breaking them down, whether they end up being good calls or not. I'm putting emphasis on the plays other people already think are bad to either prove them right or debunk it.

CONTACT THE NBA RIGHT NOW. Let them know about refereeing!

Post#944 » by onetwothree » Sun May 4, 2014 8:45 pm

Ok guys, im sick of watching a series of Raptors vs. Nets+Refs (for most games) (on most critical plays).
Im sick of Amir getting fouled out so early with 6 fouls which weren't even close to being fouls. VS. D-Will having 5 fouls and CLEARLY fouling Kyle Lowry but then the foul being moved to someone else just so he doesn't foul out.

You got to have a standard of what type of a foul is a foul. Look at all the fouls called during this game. Most of which weren't fouls. The littlest bit of contact was called. Are you telling me that last KL play had no contact?

Im sick of Derrick Stafford. Every call he has made has favoured the nets. People like him should be dealt with, through the full power of the law.

Im contacting the NBA to just let them know that we see these refs.

If every raptor fan on this forum sends them a contact form, the will take notice. If you are sick with the calls this series, take a minute of your time and just let them know!

Crazy_NBA_Fan wrote:The refs were a joke this game and it is a damn shame. The charging call on DeRozan was accurate and the Lowry play could've gone either way but the refs gave Amir Johnson 2 or 3 silly fouls that he didn't earn. The same thing they were doing to Jonas in the series when he was feeling it they did to Amir Johnson, which was getting quick fouls on them to be in foul trouble. These refs know exactly what they're doing. Please review Amir's third, fourth, and fifth foul calls and tell me its not BS.

Also, Brooklyn got away with holding and hand-checking the WHOLE SERIES. Whenever the Raptors tried to play like Brooklyn they would get a foul. Even that play in the final stretch of the game where Ross blew by Johnson to make the bucket, Johnson was holding Ross' forearm like CRAZY. That play should've been an AND 1. Furthermore, Lowry was FOULED TWICE on that final possession to win the game, first before the ball was inbounded, they were holding him. Secondly, Garnett bumped Lowry causing him to lose his balance before throwing a desperate shot up.

I honestly knew this series would consist of horrible calls on the part of the refs, but I didn't think Brooklyn would get away with as much as they did. I clearly predicted this by creating this thread and some of you guys thought it was all conspiracy talk by me. The Raptors could've easily beaten Brooklyn in this series the only question was will the refs allow them to? Well now that the series is over its pretty clear they didn't.
COMPLETE TRUTH in handchecking. Do you guys watch what happens before players drive to the basket? Raptors Werent handchecking nets were.

I'm with you 100%. I was in sports, liked for the essence of competition, but NBA is a joke. It's business first and game itself almost doesn't matter.

thats basketball though, it's always been subjective in terms of foul calls. any sport with physical contact will have some subjectivity in terms of what is allowed and not allowed.

How about you post in the officiating thread instead of clogging the board.

That is true. But dont you think, even a little bit, that the subjectivity is being used to pick a winner.

Jack Armstrong said it best. Every other game 7, the home team won. Why? because the home team was treated as a higher seed. Today, Toronto was treated as the 6th seed. The nets were treated as the 3rd seed.

Just heard someone saying "the league is rigged" during Pierce's press conference.

Really for a league that only has international expansion on their mind now you really think that this is an actual serious allegation?

The Reffing was not as bad as people make it out to be..

Game 7: Bad calls both ways.. Touchy 4th on Amir, the block on TRoss went against the Raps.. similarly, blown calls against the Nets.. touchy 4th on Pierce, bloack against Pierce etc.. Similarly, there was a CLEAR charge by Lowry in the final 2 mins of the game which wasn't called and the Raps caught a break..

Game 4, the nets were called for a lot of offensive fouls in the final 2 mins and the raps benefited..

It's been pretty even and it's about time us Raps fans stop blaming the refs and think the whole world is out to get us..

Do you actually watch the games and come up with your own conclusions? or do you just want to sound like the voice of reason instead of a conspiracy nut?

The two blown block/charges, some of the phantom calls on Amir and that last call on KG versus Deron Williams were all pretty brutal. Some of the other calls were probably fouls but they weren't going both ways. Wish it was just all about ref'ing an equal game, regardless of the name on the back. However - don't think it has anything to do with patriotism.

I do watch games.. and watch them without homer goggles unlike some of the fans.
