Brad Stevens doesn't have any new ideas...he loves him some ex-Celtics...first Horford and now Kanter? I'm sure he's on the phone trying to trade for Terry Rozier.

Re: 2021 Free Agency News & Discussion Part 2
Birch is really my first opportunity to get annoyed with the front office during this FA window. They can't mess that up.
People who underestimate his impact post-trade simply haven't looked, whether they like counting stats or advanced. He was perfect for the Raps switchy defense and ball-sharing offense. I really wanted Allen pre-FA but obviously the Cavs valued him as much as the open market would have. Holmes @ $14M wasn't worth renouncing most of their cap holds.
Birch/Achiuwa with OG playing spot minutes on D again will work nicely.

I think Birch is a lock and he’s just being patient to let the team have flexibility to make whatever other moves first. I’d be shocked if anyone else overpays him to the extent that the Raptors wouldn’t make a comparable offer.

Pascal needs to go if we get a return containing either Ben Simmons or Halliburton, without giving up anything else on top of course.

Honestly, what is all love with Halliburton about around here? once scouts zero-in on him how is he going to shoot that strange set-shot of his?

The Simmons love makes even less sense
People seriously don't think scoring matters

Haliburton is a stud.
14/4/6 on near 50/40/90 splits as a rookie PG

I think people like Haliburton when talking about pieces from Sacramento.

He's just like Thibodeau with his obsession with ex-Bulls players like Taj Gibson and Derrick Rose.

It really doesn’t make sense since Pascal is better at offence than Simmons and isn’t afraid to take and miss shots! I really don’t think you gain much by switching Pascal and Simmons. I can imagine the tan bases rage if/ when Simmons refuses to shoot with that salary!

Of course, if you think scoring is all that matters then yeah you will never appreciate a player that can pull those accolades before hitting 25 years old. (at 6'11 moving like a 6'1 athletic player). not to repeat myself too many times
3× NBA All-Star (2019–2021)
All-NBA Third Team (2020)
2× NBA All-Defensive First Team (2020, 2021) and 2nd DPOY
NBA steals leader (2020)

Meh, Kevin Martin had 12 solid nba seasons with his goofy looking shot

I appreciate that Ben has done all of that but what does that do for us when we already have great defenders and are giving up our number 1 option plus more

How does Isaiah Thomas go back to Boston for whatever pittance salary they have remaining after all that Brinks talk?

With last season and the bubble still kinda fresh in everybody's minds, I don't think now is the optimal time to trade Pascal. Let him rebuild his value once he comes back from rehab. His value drastically changes if he comes back with an improved ISO game and rediscovered 3pt shot.

With Ben being the number one creator:
FVV and GTjr are 20pts scorer
>OG averaged 18pts the last 2 months projecting to be a ~19/20 scorer next season as well
>Ben, without Embiid, is about 18/19 points per game as a triple-double threat.
>So basically 4x ~20points scorers, how many more do you need?
>Okay we have great defenders, but what about having the best perimeter defender in the league? There are only 2 players that can cover 1-through-5 at DPOY-level in the league....Ben S and OG! with FVV being the best defending PG in the league, what else do you need?
