My guy AJ Green. Hope he declares for the draft because he might be someone we could buy a 2nd rounder for. He might even go undrafted in which case he could be our new undrafted success story. Lol

I think we'll still be ok if AJ Griffin drops as currently expected...
When he hasn't gotten the minutes, he hasn't had the actual time to show what he has. The 2x he did, he showed out. This is also tough for a kid coming back from serious injury which has to be factored but he's showing flashes of what he can do with his strength and lateral footspeed on stepbacks. If he stays healthy in the NBA, I'm willing to bet he's going to be a steal for whoever takes him but there's a reason he was at one time projected in the top 5, just hoping in some ways that he doesn't play himself back into that conversation so he can be somewhat like Scottie (who was out of the lineup during the season then forced to the bench) & OG (who did come off the bench and also suffered from his injury concerns).
I'm starting to warm up to TyTy Washington. His numbers at Kentucky are great for a freshman guard considering what guys like Maxey and Booker put up, and he has the size to play the 2 guard and back up Van Vleet. If we're going to try to keep developing Precious and just trade for another center, the roster balance makes sense:
Bigs: Precious, Birch for now and if we become a top 5 seed we make another Marc Gasol style trade
Forwards: Barnes, OG, Siakam, Banton
Guards: VanVleet, Trent, big combo guard like TyTy or Dyson Daniels
Where's the D?

The TWO haters would rather have a bunch of OGs and Siakams (best case) instead of Barnes and enjoy 1st round exits it seems. Short term pain for long term gain.

Except none of this is true. It's just a fictional narrative propagated by 720. I would much rather have Barnes and I am glad we do have him. It took having the worst center in the NBA and health and safety protocol issues combined with some luck to land him. I think he's a very important piece moving forward and has good talent around him. I'm satisfied now with whatever happens moving forward, if we win games and get Barnes some playoff experience I'm totally fine with that. If we lose a bunch of games and end up with a high draft pick, so be it. I'm just not going to advocate trading everybody not named Barnes and tearing the entire foundation down to land a good draft pick. I trust management no matter where they draft. Barnes plus OG, Trent, and Fred along with a serviceable center is a great core to move forward with. Many people feel this way. Nobody hates Barnes or would rather have OG or Pascal over him. Stop propagating this fictional bull. It's like when 720 enters a post game thread and randomly suggests that Fred defenders are slandering Barnes. Yet you go through 12 pages of the post game thread and don't find a single post suggesting this.

Tbh it's not even that...
It's that they want to be able to claim "tanking doesn't work" but then bask in the RESULTS (ie/ drafting Scottie) OF tanking.
They blab moronically ad naseum page after page like they're convincing anyone of how "tanking doesn't work" meanwhile thrilled by Scottie who is the very result of it. Rave how we got a future (super)star in the making but live in the most ridiculous state of cognitive dissonance of HOW we got him. If only this team would take as many Ls as Team Mediocre

You conveniently missed the part about us tanking to land him. We are presently 14-15, the same record as last year after 29 games. We are on last year's pace on the same trajectory that led to actively tanking by March. PhilBlackson is right with what he said above about cognitive dissonance of anti-tankers.
Don't know who is "720" but you're creating a straw man with statements like "trading everybody not named Barnes and tearing the entire foundation down to land a good draft pick" and then arguing against it. No one is truly advocating trading everyone, but it would be fair to say there are no untouchables on this team, except for Barnes.
If you claim you "trust management" to get the best talent in the draft, then you want management to be able select from a greater pool of talent to truly get the best, which means the higher in the draft order for Masai to choose from, the better.

Oh we are? You do realize last year's team was on the rise before health and safety protocol took out 60% of the starting lineup? They beat the Bucks twice, split two games with the Sixers, then lost to Miami on a back to back. Then there was the All-Star break and then we started losing players and coaching staff to the virus. That was an unfortunate event that derailed the whole season. Raptors didn't have enough depth to withstand it and even when the players came back, nobody was in shape. It took quite a while for Pascal, OG, and Fred to get back into their optimal fitness. By then we were double digits under 500.
We are on the same trajectory? Do you know something I don't know? Is 60% of our starting lineup along with our coaching staff about to get wiped out?

Tanking didn't work. It basicly forced us into a Sengun for Barnes trade which is neutral value at best.

Let's playin for 9th!

How you going to tank if you don’t play?
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?
Please advise….

Re: Tank World Order (6.0)
I love how TwO acts like the whole board wasn't in favour of a stealth tank last year. Were there a few people wanting to make a run at the play-in even in April? I'm sure there were but the vast majority wanted to pull the plug on the season. This is just a fact.
The difference is many of you DENIED that we were tanking. I can pull up the receipts on here from April and May where people on here were saying that this team was going for the play-in because we signed Gillespie and Birch AND you guys said that we weren't actually trying to rest our players and that the reason why they were sitting out was because they were injured. This was obviously completely delusional and you had players on our own team essentially admitting that they were sitting out for no reason. It's just one of many reasons why no one takes TwO seriously.
The fact that TwO thinks it's some kind of win is absolutely hilarious when in reality Masai & Co did exactly what "Team Mediocre" wanted and that was to compete until winning no longer made sense. And in a season where we were the only team playing away from home, we had battled injuries and covid all year and lacked the depth to compete in the playoffs it became the perfect opportunity to take a step back and look towards next year.
You guys have been wanting to lose from day 1 of the season. That automatically is a loss for TwO because Nurse, Masai and Bobby clearly have ZERO intention of losing at this point. This team is exactly where we thought they were going to be (if not better) and that is despite the amount of injuries this team has sustained this season. We rank near or at the bottom in minutes played among our full starting lineup. To put this into perspective, there are teams in this league who have played 6-7x the amount of minutes with their full lineup together this year than we have.
This team can only get better from here on out as we get our guys back and playing together.

I agree with the burners, the Raptors should just compete for a play in spot this year and establish that winning culture. We all know top 5 picks guarantee you will never win a championship.
