i think people are underrating a dam siakam combo, if build around them currently they are certainly a threat to any team.

This is so obvious, I don't understand how people think the clippers would want a pick. The blazers have no win-now assets to trade, so these PG and Bam rumours make no sense.
If any team has win-now assets that a team would want, it's us.
Anyone consider that the Clippers might want to pair Siakam with Kawhi again? They’ve always been after trying to recreate the Raps championship roster.
Perhaps this is just a 3-way deal that sends Pascal to Clips, PG to Blazers, #3 + Shaydon + Fillers to Raps

Correct
once that clock starts its going to be mayhem lol
Thought so. With that being the case I wouldn't harp on a trade happening right away. It could happen later around free agency possibly.

I seriously hope Masai isn't delusional enough to actually be expecting both #3 and Sharpe out of a Siakam deal.
We both know he is. I'd bet he's asking for future 1st rounders on top too.

Also possible Masai has offered Siakam for the #3 and Portland has said no.

Portland wants OG and Siakam for # 3
Toronto wants # 3 and Sharpe for Siakam only
That's why nothing will happen

Re: Portland #3 trade rumors part 2
another thing to consider, what if siakam wants to leave? we let rico go, it seems we are trying to trade him and I think it's likely fred van vleet walks. So why should siakam want to stick around?

Of course it is but based on majority of the reports and Masais past non dealings, it should be obvious which side is more possible lol.

Maybe? Who knows really.
Would be fun if this was all transparent.

The man does not want to cooperate.
Correct, it's currently a standoff until the Blazers draft Scoot/Miller. Then the ball is in Dame's court and he is only left with asking out. I'd bet his agent already has the statement ready, along the lines of "I don't want to leave but....."

I get the feeling this organization would want nothing to do with Miller given his recent past. What if he were ever charged, you might not get him over the border. The risk there might be slim but you can’t ignore it, not to mention it’s stupid and questionable character-wise.
So any trade for 3 would be contingent on Scoot being available at the time.
i mean Toronto would probably surprise everyone and take Hendricks at #3
Nah, that would be Anthony Black
super tall point guard wouldn't be a surprise for Masai

raf1995 wrote:I just don’t think he has that kind of potential. I think we will regret not trading him for a haul in a few years when he’s a mid-tier starter with nice playmaking and defense and a shaky jumper.

Interesting. If Charlotte really selects Brandon Miller, Realgm might crash after the Portland pick

Re: Portland #3 trade rumors part 2
Also why would the Raptors put forth their best offer right now without knowing with 100% certainty that the guy they want at 3 will be there? i.e. Scoot or Miller
Yeezy SZN approaching

Pascal wants to remain a Raptor for life.
****. This is why you trade him when he has term on his deal, not when he’s an expiring.

Simons, S&T Grant, #3, #23 for Siakam, OG, #13
or
Simons, S&T Grant, #3, for Siakam, OG, Precious
What about these 2 for frameworks? Not asking JRoy we already know his answer, but what would the rest of you prefer?

The downside of waiting until the offseason. Still 2 years left on their contracts becomes 1 year left (an expiring deal). 29 years old becomes almost 30. Same deals can be made since deadline? Hmmm.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

We were assured that his value would be higher this offseason compared to February. Were we lied to?

well i doubt Bam would be even remotely effective as a 1st option. he's pretty one dimensional on offense.
He may not be as good offensively as Pascal but he is not far off as some people here think. He scored 20 points a game and he was not the first option on offence, and defensively he is miles ahead of lazy Pascal.
What did Pascal do as a 2nd option to Kawhi? Bam is nowhere near as good as Pascal is offensively. Not even close. Bam averaged almost as many turnovers as assists and is no threat to score outside of 15 feet from the basket. Bam also plays with Butler and a team full of shooters.
Pascal carries so much of the offensive load, it’s not surprising that his defense would slip. But without that kind of load, he’s a great defensive player which we saw in our championship run.
Bam has NEVER made an all-NBA team. Pascal has done it twice. That should tell you how each player is valued around the league.
If all things are equal, Pascal is better and frankly it’s not much of a debate.
