Really guys? Are you stooping to that level, that you pretend not to understand.

If i had to have an injured Player i rather would have Zion than Ingram.

Is that so hard to understand?

You said he needs the ball. That is just not true.

Provide hard evidence he will be effective without the ball.

You can’t score a bucket without the ball.

Jak doesn’t need many plays called for him because he’s an excellent offensive rebounder and a connective piece on offense.

Can't even argue with that. 7 hours combined the last few nights.

Boucher looks like Wilt to me right now.

Thats why it makes so little sense trading for a guy whos injury history doesnt spell confidence in me.
Yes if it were Zion, i can understand it, but not BI.
I really hope, that in this case i am completly wrong and BI surprises us with ALL-Star Level play. Only then, its a good trade.

We traded the Indy pick next year. We did not trade our lottery pick this year.

we're falling in the lottery rankings. If ingram plays, we could easily have 7th or 8th worst odds.
I think Chicago and Brooklyn are about to take extreme tanking measures. Maybe even portland too.

Ingram is currently injured. Chicago has 22 wins, 6 more than us. Portland is 9-1 in their last 10 and also have 6 more wins than us. Brooklyn is a threat but we are still in line for a very good pick. We are the 5th worst team in the league with like 30 games to go. lol.

1) Masai believes the Indy pick will end up post-lottery (he's not betting against Indy in 2026).
2) Masai believes Ingram's extension and the rookie scale of our 2025 FRP will fit into the tax space we have for next season (currently at around $50M with 9 roster spots filled according to Spotrac).

If point #2 isn't the case, someone else is going to have to go to make Ingram's salary and the 2025 FRP rookie scale salary fit under the tax, and it's probably going to have to be someone in the RJ/Poeltl salary range for multiple reasons.

Edit: someone will likely have to go regardless, because they can't just sign Ingram and the 2025 FRP and run an 11 man roster.

Also for anyone thinking MLSE will authorize spending into the tax next season, that's a pipe dream, not happening.

Chicago just traded their best player and Vuc may still be moved. They are absolutely a threat.
Portland could just be going through a hot stretch similar to what the raptors went through recently

the issue isn't the pick itself. Like the poeltl trade, the value is fair in a vacuum.
The issue is direction. Like the poeltl trade, we are going to be forced to re-sign Ingram. The team has been a complete disaster and the opportunity to tank in a loaded draft is right there for the taking (jst like the Wemby draft) but instead we are choosing to purse the play-in once again.

Just feels like management continues to take the wrong direction. Tickets sales must have been dropping.

Ingram and our other players will probably sit most of the rest of the season. We’re not going for the play in.

Cheap enough for me not to care about, but i hate the fit with RJ still here. Too many mediocre defenders and Ingram, like RJ, has had ball stopping tendencies. Wonky fit on both sides of the ball

But a single 1st + contracts for Ingram is a win, imo (depending on the contract)

If pacers are a plus 500 team next year it projects to be a pick in the bottom half of the first round

So basically Masai isn't tanking for long. He's going to try and win with this group starting next year and this year's pick. ummmm I dunno.

If that's the case - Hi local beat writers and media personalities. Being emotional and acting like a little child on TV isn't a good look. Less whining and put the work on making it easier to read your articles. Try developing a source, too. Sucks that you guys know nothing about anything all the damn time.

There is still the possibility of taking dead cap space player for Boucher for srp. Also we can use our mle for expiring contract for srp also.
