Dont know that Saunders would do that but that lineup can take us straight to the top of the conference. Val and Love is unguardable.

Oh, Please tell me more. I wasn't under the impression that Kevin Love was a good/great defender. A matter of fact I think he's average at best in terms of defense. With all that said and done, I love love that line up stickly because Love stretches the floor for Val/Demar/Rudy and does what we need from our 4. Rebound/Score.

I have been on board with a deal like this for quite some time. Hayes and Outlaw give some good veterans for the Raps. I just cannot buy any contender spending that kind of coin on Bargnani. He just does not fit OKC. Maybe instead its Chicago trading Boozer to Sacramento who needs a veteran PF to play with Counsins:

Toronto incoming:
Chuck Hayes
Travis Outlaw
Rip Hamilton

Bulls incoming:
Bargnani
Marcus Thorton

Kings incoming:
Boozer

If KG and Pierce move on from Boston and they rebuild, I wouldn't mind going after Jason Terry if we stay in win-now mode. Big part of the championship in Dallas 2 years ago, although he struggled at times this year he is an experienced shot maker and brings some of that edge that we could use some more of. Maybe Bargs for Bass + Terry. Celtics take a chance on Bargs while they "rebuild" and if it doesn't work out he is expiring in 1 year

Lowry/?/Jet
DeMar/Jet
Gay/Ross/Dunleavy?
Amir/Bass
Val/?

Will/Should we pursue Chris Paul?

With the Clippers exiting quickly in the first round he may not be as enthusiastic about re-signing with LA as he might have been.

That, coupled with the Leiweke-LA connection and the possible inclusion of Phil Jackson into all of this might be enough to woo him. Also note that Leiweke has repeated several times that the board told him he'd have the resources necessary to turn the Raptors around.

We don't have cap space. Clips would have to agree to a S&T IF he wants to come here and then we would have to find a trade where the numbers work

Hypothetically... Bargnani/Lowry/Val/Kleiza/Gray for CP3/Jordan works... Wont happen but dare to dream right lol

Sixers get Andrea Bargnani, Raps 2014 Second

Warriors get Arnett Moultrie, Kleiza (expiring)

Raptors get David Lee, Jason Richardson

Another possible scenario...

Raptors get Willie Green, Jazz 2013 21st Pick, Millsap (Sign and Trade)

Jazz get Eric Bledsoe, Landry Fields

Clippers get Terrence Ross, Raptors 2014 Second

Raptors can then amnesty Kleiza.

LOL!!! You're out of your mind if you think LAC is giving up Bledsoe for Ross + 2nd rounder.

Another fan who thinks Bledose is a lock to become a star? The dude was productive as a backup pg guard, but wasnt anything special when CP3 was down and was getting a ton of minutes. They'd basically be trading a young promising player (playing limited minutes behind a superstar) whose going to leave them next year anyways, for another young promising player who plays at a position they are weaker at and is on contract for much longer.

It's not about Bledsoe being a lock to become a star. Bledsoe has more value in the trade market than a 3rd string SG + a 2nd round pick and he has the numbers to prove it. Ross on the other hand, hasn't proven that he is ready to play winning basketball.

Toronto incoming: Crap. Old crap. Useless crap. Let's be honest, the only possible plus to the deal is getting rid of Andrea and his contract. But I'd rather amnesty him than take back those guys.

Chicago incoming: Making out like bandits.

Sacramento incoming: A death knell.

That deal seems like one made just for the sake of making one.

Rather just amnesty Bargnani than take back that garbage.

Trade Bargnani and Fields for Humphries, Brooks and Teletovic.
Amnesty Kleiza.
re-sign Pietrus or Anderson.

I would do that, but then flip Brooks for Utah's 21st Pick and a sign and trade for Randy Foye.

Assuming we can somehow get Phil here, it's time to make a superteam.

1.) Amnesty Andrea Bargnani
2.) Look for suitors to dump Kleiza's + Lucas' expiring
3.) Package DeRozan with Fields to dump him, if u need to include a pick do it
4.) Trade for 2nd rounder to acquire Kabongo

You now have:
Rudy: 17.9M
Ross: 2.6M
Amir: 6.5M
Lowry: 6.2M
Jonas: 3.5M
Acy: 1M

TOTAL: $36.7M about 24M under projected 60M cap

5.) S&T Rudy Gay and Kyle Lowry for CP3 + Filler
6.) S&T Valanciunas for Dwight Howard

About 10M cap left after that (none lost in #5, lose about 14M in #6)

7.) Sign Andre Iguodala or Danny Granger using remaining cap space
8.) Scoop backup 4/5 like Brandan Wright as well as 3+D or just 3 SG/SF like Morrow or Dunleavy for cheap.

PG: CP3/Kabongo
SG: Ross/Morrow
SF: Iguodala (Granger)/Dunleavy
PF: Amir/Acy
C: Dwight/Wright

Super-team capable of beating the Heat created.
