Id have no problems with a SF version of Miller, but only if we had a 3-D type player at SG.

I think that's a much better comparison for Inglis (assuming you're talking about Anderson). Inglis projects to give you versatility on both ends, defending multiple positions, skilled enough to play the 3, big and strong enough to play the 4. Can handle, likes to pass, decent jumper.

You just can't do that stuff at 6'9 without being a stud. With the ball in his hand he's a better basketball athlete than Inglis, and D can round into form. There's a very good chance that he's either the best player available, or the best prospect available, or both.

Impressed with the passing but this video really left more of an impression of Jabari Parkers defense more than Andersons shot creating. Parker is Harden level D.

Yo DeAndre Daniels has a little Rashard Lewis in him, who went in the 2nd rd. in his draft year. I think he's a potential 2nd rd. gem.

Great Article On 2014 Draft Prospect Thanasis Antetokounmpo

Post#969 » by Mister Ze » Sun Jun 1, 2014 8:05 pm

http://www.slamonline.com/nba/thanasis- ... nba-draft/

But before the family’s eldest two sons entered the international basketball discussion, the Antetokounmpo’s, then spelled Adetokunbo, struggled to survive without Greek citizenship in the Speolia neighborhood just outside of Athens. Unlike in the United States, being born in Greece does not automatically guarantee citizenship. Charles and Veronica decided to give their children Greek names to both eliminate suspicion of illegal residence and begin the family’s new life in the new country.

The family was forced to move from place to place after being handed eviction after eviction. The four brothers sold sunglasses, hats and bags on the street while Veronica babysat and Charles picked up whatever work he could as a handyman.

The two parents fled to Greece in search of a better life for their children, living illegally in Greece for over 20 years. Even though the early years were taxing, Giannis has frequently called his parents his heroes. Meanwhile, he told SLAM he views his older brother in a similar light.

“He’s my role model,” Giannis says. “He’s always set the right example. He was the leader of our family. He was always there for us.”

He's projected to go early in the second round, kid is 6'6 with a 7 foot wingspan and a 40 inch vertical :-o

We know that Masai was trying to enter the 2013 draft to select Giannis so perhaps he'll be targeting his older brother with the 37th pick this year.

I think we're well-positioned to take the "better" of KJ and Anderson. Then you either continue beefing up the wing or go for a backup 5 at 37. At 59 you either take a flyer on a prospect (draft and stash) or go for a guy that actually fits an NBA niche right now.

Imagine...KJ in the first round, Inglis somehow slips to 37 (it is around where he seems to be in mocks), and the feel-good pick in Bachynski.

Or...Anderson at 20, Inglis is gone but Thanassis isn't, and Diagne drops into Masai's clutches at 59.

I love this draft.

Yeah, I'm not quite sure why he isn't slotted for the first round, except that he didn't dominate in the D-leage at 21 of course. Big time athlete with active length and a motor; can touch 12 feet :o

My only guess would be his age (21) but I think he'll go down as a sleeper 3 years from now.

Nbadraft.net seems much higher on Jordan Clarkson than DX. I think DX has become a little more analytics-based than draft.net which is a little more eye-test based (and far too obsessed with the facial features of players for their player comparisons). Anyway, I hadn't watched Clarkson much but I can see what they find intriguing about him. He's a very smooth athlete (registered a 39 inch vert) and can really move well with the ball at full speed. He has some flare to him.

His 3 isn't reliable yet but he pulls straight up on a dime almost like Westbrook.

I don't a lot more people have compared Rodney Hood to Rashard Lewis, at least I saw a couple on nbadraft.net forums

What's funny is that I had lunch with Terrence Ross' agent yesterday. We talked about every possible scenario. Toronto never came up.

His first step is really quick. I think I might like him better than his younger brother. Seems far more developed physically and skill wise. Downside is age.

He's like 21, no? How is that a downside?

He's gonna be 22 soon, equivalent to a junior or senior in college. Not that I think he can't improve, but of course his ability to develop won't be as good as his peers in this draft. I still like what I see from him and think with hard work he'll be great, but his age can't be ignored.

Thanasis actually reminds me a lot of Kawhi and I'm sure he'd develop similarly to him if he were to be drafted by the Spurs. A solid option at the 37th pick, but I still prefer Inglis.

His driving ability is way better than one would expect. He is is very athletic with lots of bounce. In transition he is extremely quick. A very nice project.
