Don't think anyone in Philly would be happy with that.

More curious if Maxey / 1 FRP gets it done or not. Still a big haul for a guy that's likely gone next season.

Maybe they do a trade and extend?

And then you're giving up all those assets to pay a 37yo PG $25mm a year?

I dunno. We all love Lowry and want him obviously, but that ask (Maxey/Thybulle/2 FRP) is ridiculous even as an ask.

The picks will be in the late 20's more than likely and Thybulle and Maxey are playing like 15mpg and aren't producing a ton at the moment. If you like them for the future, fine, but if you want to win a title, then don't get Aingeitis on us now.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

If you plan on Lowry for half a season, then there's no reason for you to trade for him. You acquire him to get him for this year +2 year extension after this one.

Right, and then paying him $25mm for age 36 / age 37 seasons isn't like, the best situation either.

1. You will be paying Lowry 25M for age 35 and age 36 (age at beginning of each season).

2. You have to pay more than the Heat because you are over the cap so the bird rights to Lowry is valuable right now. You can't sign Lowry as a FA.

Flip Duncan Robinson and Igoudala to Philly for Green and 2021 1st pick. Then Toronto flips Danny Green to BK for Dinwiddie and Claxton.

Duncan Robinson does nothing for us.

He's a role player who's best fit is alongside stars. We don't have the personnel for him to thrive.

It's Herro as the centerpiece or tell Riley to kick rocks as we trade him to Philly. We have all the leverage.

If Lowry commits to an extension (don't see why he wouldn't given he's from Philly), it puts you guys into legit contention for the next 2-3 seasons. Even at his age, Lowry still has tremendous impact on the game. Knowing the leadership, toughness and intangibles he'd bring to your team, I'd take that deal if I was Philly.

The Heat pushing their players that they don't want to pay in Robinson and Nunn. I'm feeling strong that Riley is going to miss out and Lowry will be Phillies bound.

Thybulle is playing important minutes and has won games for us this season. If Green is in deal, that's a non-trivial rotation player loss.

Maxey / 1 FRP *is* the "we want to win a title and will give up some of our future for it trade", but even that's a tough pill to swallow given the economics of it.

Agree with all this, why we're talking legit assets and not expiring / 2nd round picks.

Then you don't actually want to win a title. The Raptors gave up more for Marc Gasol and won a title because of it (I believe you probably remember that). If you would like to watch your favourite basketball team win an NBA title or two in the next 5 years (it's pretty great!), then get the guy who isn't going to develop lemon booty in the playoffs.

The Heat will regret not including Herro for Kyle when Philly gets him... I feel it’s going to be a 12th hour announcement, it’s going to be announced after the deadline passes

Kyle turned 35 today. He's a year younger than Chris Paul - and you can see the impact Paul is still having wherever he goes.

You can't always say next year's the year. Sometimes you gotta make it this year. Especially when you're so close.

i think lowry deal happens first, as it will be a domino trade, heat and 76ers will look to do other moves.
plus i expect lowry to be a 3-4 team trade.
powell will go down to last minute, auction style, more teams involved, smaller salary and easily packaged in trades to other team. wont need to be a multiple team trade.

No way the Sixers will send BOTH Maxey AND Thybulle AND 2 first round picks.

If Kyle goes elsewhere, Sixers look to acquiring Lonzo Ball or George Hill or Malcolm Brogdon (Pacers are a dumpster fire right now).

This will go down to the wire. Love me some trade deadline day!
Truth is on the side of the oppressed.
