Oh so now it's 2 games? How did you draw that arbitrary line? Is it because I pointed out your terrible logic? Can you please make it 3 or 4 games for my own piece of mind. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!?!?!?!?!

Lmao that all you have to say? Really? That's it??? And you claim to partially represent an entire train of thought AND general strategy on how to proceed going forward? Lol fckin nephew. Not all of you tWos, just this nephew and anyone else who thinks that covid only hit our wins and not our losses.

I was expecting a detailed response on how each loss counts but the wins don't (with an absurd claim like that - clearly I missed something) and I was looking forward to reading it. Legit, I thought you had gone through each one and came up with a reason based off something real.

Like a basketball analysis, but that's on me.

Those were literally the two games we got impacted through covid protocols but go ahead and continue with the rambling. lol
TIL our entire roster only missed a collective 2 games due to Covid.

Let's not even discuss the actual physical injuries that caused our guys to miss time.

What do you expect from someone that takes a video game and applies that logic to real life though

Um yeah bud, when guys started dropping left and right they postponed two of our games and then we had to play the Cavs and the Sixers with major guys out due to covid. Then the guys came back for the 6 game fake win streak.

They postponed 2 games when we couldn't feild 8 roster guys. Other games players were down games before we got to that point. But let's go even further because that's all a moot point when it REALLY comes down to it:

Bucks - didn't tank
Lakers - didn't tank
Raptors - didn't tank
Warriors - didn't tank
Warriors - didn't tank
Cavs - didn't tank (not for their title team)
Warriors - didn't tank
Spurs - didn't tank
Heat - didn't tank
Heat - didn't tank
Dallas - didn't tank
Lakers - didn't tank
Lakers - didn't tank
Celtics - didn't tank
Spurs - didn't tank

I will let you figure out the significance of those teams. I could go back further if you want. Shall I list the teams that actively tanked in the last 15 years?

But somehow you're going to convince anyone with half a brain that this is a viable option? Viable for what exactly?

Lol OK 2k. I'm sure your video game team has won like 10 in a row, I'm proud of you for that.

Tldr: you want us to conjure lotto picks without tanking (let's trade Dragic for one and Boucher for another) and draft the next steph curry. Lol. May as well just ignore the below, I think it's too many words for you.

What does tWo stand for? Did it change? Whats the name of the thread?

How do you expect us to guarantee good lotto picks without trading half our core? What do you think happens to our record then? Is 1 more guy gonna do it? How is it any different from our roster now? Ohhhh I get it, all of our picks will end up like Hall of famers like the ones you listed? Just like that? Were all those guys drafted by 1 team? Did they carry their teams to a title with no help?

Id be psyched if a lotto pick turned into Pascal or FVV because truthfully, a lot of them end up sucking and are out of the league or their ceiling is lower than that. But here you are expecting all them to be goated. Got it.

You're the one deflecting, per the title of this thread you are so passionately apart of. Do you even know where you are commenting?

"Let's just get lotto picks" lol

Just like in 2k, you dont have to deal with any rationale or long term consequences.

Why don't you tell me how this works without tanking and explain to me how we end up any different than any team we have had in the Masai era?

Please tell me how we conjure lotto picks out of thin air and how you expect them to turn into some of the best players in the league. If your answer is trade the core guys, explain how that not actively tanking.

Nephews lol yall just make me scratch my head.

You're so triggered you quoted me twice. lol these points are so old and tiring. It's so boring.

Idk who you are but it ain't worth rehashing the same talking points, go back and read old pages. I don't care enough to keep repeating the same points since you're not even an active poster so does not warrant wasting the time.

Listen, we got Barnes. I think we're all grateful for that. His ceiling probably will be the ceiling of this core unless we draft or trade for someone better.

With that being said I have one point for you.

If your idea of success is just making the playoffs, then perhaps you need to raise your expectations.

Talent accumulation is key. Fred and Siakam will never get us a star. They're both B level players. Also I like Siakam, wouldn't even mind if we keep him. He's a dynamic player, that's very valuable.

Also I take that back. Maybe we can trade Fred for an actual star. Hmmm. Let's trade Fred. :)

There's got to be better ways to spend your time. Like you know, spend time with your family and loved ones, go out for a walk and get some exercise, etc. Spending all your free time checking out these videos is the same to me as perving at Instagram models. Complete and utter waste of time. That's all I got.

When Masai actually makes the move, then we can say he has. At this point, it's all speculation and tire kicking. We could go for compete for playoffs or go for higher draft pick ROS, depending on what Masai does by the Feb 10 trade deadline.

Switched to my computer, i hate the app. tWo has been around for a while lol this feeling of tired and boring is mutual, because as I have shown, tanking doesnt work. But lets skip that part where you are happy for our star to leave because we are perpetual losers, like every other team that has done this over the last decade and a half.

Idk who you are

good, been around here about as long as you, but youre not even sure what tWo stands for. Accumulation of a ton of lotto picks = tanking. Unless your front office is SO BAD they cant figure out how to put a .500 team on the floor, I guess, but I think we can both agree that is not our front office.

So, unless your plan is to get a lotto pick and hopefully strike absolute gold (terrible plan), we need to do this more than once. How does one get consecutive lotto picks without a bad team? How does one turn a .500 team into a guaranteed lotto team without trading their best players? We have showed we dont even need lotto picks have a competitive product, so you are talking about actively losing games. This is tanking lol even if you have tricked yourself into thinking its not.

Talent accumulation is key.

How exactly are we not doing this? Masai is notorious for this.

Fred and Siakam will never get us a star.

both are better than Demar, if you count for defence, which you should. I will leave it at that.

Maybe we can trade Fred for an actual star.

...so what, we raise the ceiling by a couple of wins? Thats your plan?

The only way it works is to trade the guys who get us wins (FVV and Pascal and OG too) for picks. Use those picks and our own high pick to acquire as much talent as possible. A less extreme version of what OKC is doing.

That is tanking. Sorry you dont understand that. Sorry you are trying to have your cake and eat it too.

Unless you are seriously trying to convince me we can get 1 lotto pick and turn him into Steph freaking Curry, what you are describing is tanking. Plain and simple.

Figure out what you want lol

...so what, we raise the ceiling by a couple of wins? Thats your plan?

The only way it works is to trade the guys who get us wins (FVV and Pascal and OG too) for picks. Use those picks and our own high pick to acquire as much talent as possible. A less extreme version of what OKC is doing.

That is tanking. Sorry you dont understand that. Sorry you are trying to have your cake and eat it too.

Unless you are seriously trying to convince me we can get 1 lotto pick and turn him into Steph freaking Curry, what you are describing is tanking. Plain and simple.

Figure out what you want lol

Bro we're not tanking. lol stop with the tanking doesn't work stuff. :rofl2:

Also no one wants to trade OG for picks idk which poster told you that but they're smoking something serious. If anything team mediocre are the ones willing to trade a 24 year old young stud on a cheap deal for some big man to make a playoff push that'll lead to nothing.

Raptors are just mid man. We're a meh team. We only win cuz Nurse plays the starters playoff rotations. Cool for now but in the playoffs it'll be less effective.

I guess you're just fine with being the next Indiana Pacers or Blazers. All good.

For all of our sakes let's just hope Barnes becomes a star, btw did we semi tank last year? Idk maybe. I think they could have done better personally but we moved up from 7 to 4 so no complaints here.

Now that it's pretty clear Masai has chosen a direction (looking to upgrade our C position and our bench depth) due to all these leaks coming out attaching our names to Turner and Poeltl, isn't this a good time to take a break from spending all your time drooling over these prospects highlights?

There's got to be better ways to spend your time. Like you know, spend time with your family and loved ones, go out for a walk and get some exercise, etc. Spending all your free time checking out these videos is the same to me as perving at Instagram models. Complete and utter waste of time. That's all I got.

When Masai actually makes the move, then we can say he has. At this point, it's all speculation and tire kicking. We could go for compete for playoffs or go for higher draft pick ROS, depending on what Masai does by the Feb 10 trade deadline.

You're doing some serious personal rebranding Del.  :x

I'm rebranding to Treadmill Nation after we trade our draft pick for Myles Turner so we can go from being a playin team to a 6th seed.

You are quite close to the true path of enlightenment.

Why have dreams? Just settle.

Undersized star point guards with no elite athleticism? That'll work, chill out.

Why aim for greatness when you can just be average?

Scottie won't leave us after 7 years of B level players surrounding him, no way!

The mantras are starting to sink in. Treadmill nation might soon be getting a new member.
