Absolutely fredericklove!

I gotta admit, after watching extensive youtube clips of all the prospects in our range, I'm thinking of buying a ticket on the Lambwagon!

PJIII under Casey is what my heart wants, but Lamb's Floater, natural feel for the game, hops, length, shot and age are quite hard to ignore for an 8th pick.

I just get a nagging sense that PJIII's manhood is going to be questioned by the right person; he's going to look in the mirror one night, get pissed off, flick the switch and dunk on all of us.

Image
(Just a random shot I found online of his hops, Mods please delete if I can't post this, sorry!)

Sigs aside, I'm:

1.) PJIII (Think I'm just Star-hungry)
1a.) Lamb
2.) Trade the Pick

It looks like we're in a very good position to take Lamb. His jumper reminds me of T-Mac. If he's there, i say pick him and don't look back.

Just to pump you guys up:

I will admit i was on the Lillard bandwagon for a while but now im back on the Lamb bandwagon. I forgot how much i liked Lamb last year when he played for team USA. The kid is a born shooter, he has some nice handles, hes athletic and he can play defense. I always thought he would be picked in the top 6 but now its seems clear that he will be there when the raptors pick.

I think this kid has all star potential, if he adds some weight he can be a poor mans Kevin Durant but at SG. If he doesnt reach his potential i still think he can be a pretty good player.

Hes not the best interviewer but who cares we should be draft BPA. He doesnt play like he interviews, he might never be a first option because hes too passive but he could easily be a 2nd or 3rd option. I can see Lamb coming off the bench as a 6th man to start the season but eventually i can see him starting and Derozan moving over to SF once he gets stronger.

I will be very dissapointed if BC doesnt pick Lamb if hes available. We will regret it down the road when he becomes a pretty damn good player. If he gets stronger then sky is the limit for this kid. That will be key for him.

put together another Lamb game compilation just now:

couple of things which caught my eye: crazy space he creates on his step back because of his long strides (the player guarding him there is 6'7-6'8), and dat handle at 1:25, keeps the ball so low the defender can't poke it out.

Some underrated aspects of Lambs game is body control & hand-eye coordination. You look at some of the plays where he finished around the rim, they are actually very difficult plays. A lot of guys wouldn't be able to make those plays in the air (watch his freshman highlights on the previous page).

The guy has ridiculously huge mitts too. You watch some of his interviews where he's nervously scratching his face. Guy's hands are massive.

The talent & skill is there. We just need to help add the body strength & confidence.

One thing Lamb would really benefit from is strong leadership. He seems like the type of player that gains strength/ confidence when he's around other strong/ confident players.

We're still looking for that Alpha Dog Leader. I think finding one would help take this young team to another level. We've got a pretty good group of young pups, now they just need a pack leader.

WOW. That super aggressive iso play starting at 1:23 was really, really impressive. That's exactly what we need on this team. The guy just toyed with his defender off the dribble. He's got yo-yo handles.

For anyone that doesn't think that Lamb has any aggression in his game, watch these highlights.

Realistically, this kid should be a top 5 pick. We'll be lucky to get a player this skilled at 8.

Good job bro... Thats the game I watched this morning before I wrote my post on here and
there was a bunch of moves that weren't on Youtube that I wanted Lamb fans to see
from that game.

I also have some UCONN games against Fairfield, Providence, Syracuse, etc
and wish I knew how to make a highlight video on youtube from the footage from my PVR.

If you got any more games keep on making Lamb videos :D

What's even more impressive about the play at 1:25 is that not only was he pulling off a very hard dribble move with a crossover then a behind the back dribble consecutively with a defender draped all over him, but not once did he bother to put his head down to take a look at his dribble. You still see plenty of NBA (*cough* Bayless *cough*) players looking down on their dribble as they're being closely guarded or dribbling into traffic and trying to dance on their defender to get rid of them. His head and eye is glued to the rim like he knows he wants to get there. Just phenomenal focus.

Hope there's more clips like this. This is exactly what my sig is talking about at 1:25, its those type of moves that break people down so I'm surprised other poster accuses of my sig as being sarcastic to Lamb LOL. That game shows he's quite aggressive on the board when the game is on the line, its right that he tends to coast abit but I know Casey's gonna work him like there's no tomorrow :D

Lambsanity TZ! Thanks for the new sig love it.... PJ3 seems to be slipping in mocks are we
even working him out? If he could hit a 3 he'd probably be right near the top of our board.

To gush further...

"Yeah he has arrived," Connecticut coach Jim Calhoun said of Lamb in an interview with Mike Francesa on WFAN in New York (via Sportsradiointerviews.com).

Calhoun said when Lamb arrived in Storrs, Conn., some people annointed him as the next big thing to play for the Huskies.

Here at the tail end of his first season, Lamb's ability is starting to shine through.

"There was an article and people said he was the anointed one ...," Calhoun said. "I truly believe with a seven-foot-four reach, with a shooting touch, and with the humility and hard work that Jeremy Lamb has, we think he's going to be the next one."

Along with Andre Drummond, Bradley Beal and Barnes, I honestly believe Lamb is talent-for-talent the same as those guys. There's no reason not to believe Lamb shouldn't be considered a tier 2 prospect. There's almost nothing Lamb can't do offensively, and the area of weakness that he does needs to work on are easier to improve than most other things his peers might need to. If he can get on his protein diet and workout his upper body and core strength throughout the entire summer he'll come into his rookie season looking good. The strength will come as he matures, and so will his ability to absorb contact...

I think Lamb is ultimately going to be the best system guy for the Raps and better than Rivers and Waiters. He plays well off-the-ball and can shoot pretty well off screens. That makes him at least a good second or third option on offense which is what is needed.

A guy like Rivers is exciting, but he does things that are not in the flow of offense. Breakdown ability is great, but his tunnel-vision is a bit worrisome.

Lamb, played on UConn during their title year and was at his best defensively and on offense when he wasn't relied upon as the main guy. Rivers, I think would struggle to fit in, as was the case with Duke.

Let's go Lamb and Tyshawn Taylor for the second pick and call it a day.

I've stayed away from all the draft threads for a while since the season ended, but I'll come chime in on Lamb.

First of all, I wanted Barnes but that's not going to happen.

Right now my preference is to go with Lamb, who I've watched a lot over the past 2 years.

My analysis is really brief on him. First of all I see Lamb as a #2 or #3 option on a playoff team. He's not going to be your franchise player but he can be that main secondary team player. He has probably the best mid range game that we've seen coming out of college since Rip Hamilton (statistically I read it's the best in 10 years). Those skills are going to work really well in our offense.

Lamb fits the prototype SG like nobody else in this draft. He has ideal height & length. He has ideal ball handling, mid range shooting and long range shooting. He also has ideal defensive charactaristics that we saw last year in the Championship run. We haven't seen a SG come out in recent years who has all these ideal attributes and it would be nice to have a player on the team who fits the ideals.

I see him having a very similar impact on the game as Kevin Martin or Richard Hamilton with at least credible defense. I think you'll see him consistently an efficient offensive output as a secondary guy.

That still leaves this team lacking a #1 guy. Rivers has a chance in this draft to be that guy, but I don't think it's going to happen for him. For that reason I'll take Lamb unless Barnes somehow dropped.
