EDIT...actually, with the name on the outside and the A in the middle, it really looks like the Nets ripped theirs off from the A's.

I think the issue whoever this Sid Lee guy is, he really didnt much effort or thought into the logo and basically replicated other logos of the past and present and also very simiar to the Nets Jersey.


At least put some thought into it, you can make the design minimalistic at the same time make it original. Some examples of team that have done that in the past...

Its funny because the author put the Nets alternate logo next to ours in color and, I gotta be honest....they don't really look all that much alike. The font is different. The ball is different. The use of color is different.

The shape is the same, but as was pointed out earlier, a round logo with the name written in the circle is not exactly something new.

I will say it again...if they hadn't released it in black and white, I don't think anyone would feel like it was ripping off the Nets.

They tried to do some sort of slow reveal and it just completely backfired. lol
People don't want to see rough drafts before they see the end result. They created a lot of buzz but it could have been more positive if they released the cool(u)r version to begin with.

They went from black and white. To Silver and Red. And then released the gold, red, black, silver versions.

Sure...but the big mistake was revealing it in black and white, which made it look pretty much identical to the Nets logo.

Makes more sense. Probably wear the alternates on 'Drake Night' once a year. (Hopefully no more than that).

I just wonder what happens when Drake looses his lustre and it will happen. Nobody stays on top forever...
