I actually like him over Leaf, I think hes a much better shooter since Leaf shot 40% but that was only on 2 attempts a game. Lydon already has range out to the three and is quicker laterally then Leaf. Lonzo also helped inflate Tjs number heavily and we all know we have no one that can distribute the ball the way Ball does lol. I think Lydon fits better with our system the way it is now.
Madness! Check out Leaf's game vs Kentucky.
That wasn't even that impressive tbh lol. Don't get me wrong I think he'll be a serviceable player at the next level, but I just think his numbers were really helped by the playmaking of Ball and since we have no one who can even come close to distributing the ball like that it makes him less effective. Kinda like how Carroll flourished in the Atlanta offense but came here and couldn't do **** because our system didn't fit him. I just think Lydon is a better fit with this current team
Agreed. Lydon over Leaf, Bolden and Wilson. All are about the same height. Leaf is the most efficient. Bolden is the best 3pt shooter (Leaf low volume). Bolden \ Wilson best athletes. Wilson is the best defender. Of all of them Lydon probably fits best because Leaf isn't a stretch 4, not that athletic and not known for defense. Bolden is inconsistent, question on motor. Wilson is soft and will struggle on the inside but good defensive potential. Lydon hits the three, rebounds, playmakes, shows a high BBIQ and understands verticality. Not great length, explosiveness or defense but he can earn play time next year with what he has and what we want to do.
In the end none of the 4 would be a bad decision.
