You mean the list with two other guys? Not much of a list. And none are difference makers.

AD first game with Mavs coming up.. I think he will make a big impact. Should be a good test against Houston.

The order goes "difference makers" > "rotation youth" >>>>>>>>>> Thad. I'd much rather have Kessler, Braun, Nembhard - hell, even Peyton Watson. Thad turned into nothing, that's a very low bar to clear.
And this team can turn up its nose at Jovic while some of you guys are busting a nut over Shead or another mid 2nd rounder?

Going to be lots of pressure on him but I think he has a great game.

Still, trading for thad young instead of poeltl, just to do it a year later was a bad move.

Thad Young trade was done for cap flexibility. Poeltl wasn’t on the block then.

Maybe try not making your cap situation inflexible in the first place.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Poeltl was available. At that time the Spurs already decided to sell high on White, Murray and Poeltl. Celtics and Raptors were interest, but neither wanted to pay up. Thats why it took one year longer. It was a well known rumour at the time.

Every GM makes mistakes.
Koloko was looking like he would he a good defensive C before the blood clots changed everything. Could not have forseen that.

I am really interested to watch the Mavs first home game post trade. Crowd is going to be nuts. Obviously the view is Nico screwed up, but since he did this, in my opinion he needs to get out there and shield the team by talking to, and getting mercilessly boo'ed by the crowd pregame.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?
Please advise….

We should have drafted everyone who became good after that draft pick. We should make a list of all of those players and create a thread and bitch about it. Heck we should do this for every year. Imagine if we had Jokic in the second round?

You’re probably right. I generally don’t bother going into those threads other than for comedy

Not worth your time trying to deal with people who ignore the reality of the trade years later.

As expected, AD will be huge for them.

Ya I was on the side it’s not a bad deal in the history of deals when it comes to the talent involved.
Surprising yes, but talent received for Dallas was giving up a top 5 player for a top 15 player, top 3 big.
You can almost never get a deal like that nowadays.
