i'm also adam and i'm also baked and i haven't posted in a while but i totally concur man.

i mean, i don't actually want AI but i think he'd have some success. all this team team needs is an(other) uptempo creator and it will be able to go balls to the wall.

it doesn't have to be AI either. it could be anyone. even JJ and AI have a good shot at producing in the D'Antoni-attack system.

the team shouldn't see great success until they find that creator at the point of attack. iverson is still good enough to push tempo and hit shots (sweet jebus he HAS to be better than Duhon, NO?) and that's exactly why you aren't interested in his fading abilities and lack of leadership. because a chimp (ie Banks) can produce from PG in the NBA.

we don't need production at guard, we've already got that. we need genius.

i also agree that we'll be playing a form of D'Antoni-ball. i think we're actually the better team thanks to our depth and underrated two-way potential. i guess they've got some potential now with Randolph+Amare who are both going to put up big numbers for coach D.

right now i'm still firmly in the camp that want to see BC play the patient hand here. sacrifice Triano if need be. go with lame-duck Calderon and Jack-the-Roleplayer forcing the action for the first part of the season. the team will be okay but should struggle to win games. wait for the big move as the trade deadline draws near to take on **** tons of salary with the TPE without having to pay the tax.

go into the lockout with guns blazing. make plays for big pieces with our cap relief with confidence that the new cba will have an out for the league's top spenders, means to trim the fat.

correct me if i'm wrong but if we stay at our current salary till the trade deadline, we should be able to take on at least 10 mill in salary without having to pay the tax.

the new CBA will not have a hard cap, i'd put money on it. it will likely make it more difficult/expensive to spend above the cap but all the more reason to go for it.

hopefully there are some teams looking for some financial relief because that's the only springboard to greatness we've got. we've finally got significant trade chips so we can only hope they're put to good use.

so yeah, AI (and 42) will always be the answer

but what's the question?

Allen Iverson will probably overtake Triano.. it's not gonna happen....
