OFFICIAL 2010-11 PREDICTIONS - Predictions only no debates

Let's see who has big enough stones to post on the permanent predictions board. You can try the obvious stuff if you aren't so brave or the tough stuff, like really early predictions or predicting things that are not part of the status quo and popular opinion. It's a great way to put your money where your mouth is.
I might ask the mods to mark or highlight any quantifiable predictions with a certain colour or indicator when it becomes evident that they where either correct or incorrect.
I don't think all predictions should be Raptor based but that should be up to the mods. I think it is best to use this for predictions only and not for debating predictions because things will get sidetracked too quickly.

Raps in 4

I'll start with a few...
Heat win it all fairly easily in the finals against any team they might face.
Anthony Randolph has a monster year with the Knicks and wins the M.I.P. award.
DeMarcus Cousins wins R.O.Y.
Griffin is a close second
Eric Maynor has a break-out year at OKC.
Terence Williams has a break-out year in Jersey.
Jerryd Bayless has a break-out year in Portland.
That's enough off the top of my head for now.
I can't predict much about the raps yet because I need to see how Triano runs this team.
Remember obvious omission from this board also says something about you. So say your piece.

Raptors will draft Terrence Jones (with a #7-9 pick) in the 2011 draft. You might as well highlight this right now.

i like that prediction. my favorite player, dorsey is gonna be great, i really hope they give him time so they can see how good he is. hes an excellent rebounder, we call him mini dwight.
but the problem is unless amirs injured i think its his starting job and andrea will always be there, even tho i wanna get rid of him.
amir and dorsey, tho undersized, would be great together i think.
prediction: demarcus cousins averages 10 rebs a game
raptors prove value of hardwork, teamwork, effort, intensity, hustle and win 40 games without a real all star
kleiza will lead our team in scoring

- JaVale McGee will lead the NBA in blocked shots.
- Linas Kleiza will average 14 ppg or more
- Miami will NOT win the NBA Championship
- Gallinari will hit over 200 three pointers this season.
- Kevin Durant will win the MVP.
I know some of these are pretty safe predictions.

T-Mac experiment in Detroit will flame out to the point he will be off the roster or asking to be moved by All-Star break
Celtics will have the best record in the East; Shaq will be the starting center even when Perkins returns to health due to resurgent form
LeBron James wins the MVP award
Lakers finish out of the top 4 in the West due to injuries
Greg Oden plays less than 50% of his team's games
Michael Beasley flakes out in some spectacular fashion for the T-Wolves, despite putting up career stats and having sentimental "they gave him away for a 2nd rounder, but he's turned around his life" pre-game stories about him
Evan Turner will garner a lot of early season "bust" talk, as he will struggle all season long. He will then become under-rated, and surprise everybody by actually meeting the hype in subsequent years
Gilbert Arenas will still be with the Wizards by the end of the season, despite Wall flourishing with Kirk Hinrich and being Arenas being displaced from the starting 5
Blake Griffin turns around the Clippers' fortune and they make the playoffs for the first time since Cassells/Brand

Lakers win the Championship for a 3peat-Phil Jacksons amazing 4th 3peat Feat
MVP- Kobe will win it in a renaissance type year fueled by the Heat hype-remember this is voted on and he will get more love because the LeBron's and Wade's being on the same team and taking the hate.
ROY- John Wall will take it as he edges out D. Cousins and B. Griffin who have solid years aswell.
Raptors make the playoffs with the 7th or 8th seed and an over .500 record.
To be more specific the my predictions for the East are:
1. Heat
2. Celtics
3. Magic
4. Bucks
5. Bulls
6. Hawks
7. Knicks
8. Raptors

My only one prediction: The lockout is a disease that's dying to happen this year that eventually leads the Raptors into a mud hole due to the result of top rated college players returning back to college for another year and part of the worse pain we have to go through is that the Raptors draft Kyle Singler inevitably.

I'm adding this to the directory so we all have access and can re-visit some of these predictions and ridicule/commend each other.

Raps finish the season at .500
ROY will be Cousins
The suns will struggle big time and will be 10th in the west by the all star break which will lead nash to ask out at the deadline and he will be traded (hopefully to the raps!!!)
DD will average 16/5/2/1/1 and will be in contention for MIP and will also win the dunk contest
Kleiza will average 18 PPG this year and lead the team in scoring, Bargs will remain at 17PPG with 8RPG
The Magic will struggle mightily with the loss of Matt Barnes who was very under-rated
Mavs vs Lakers in WCF - Heat vs Celtics in ECF - Lakers beat the Celtics in the Finals to three peat
Melo will be dealt before the new year

raptors - 27 wins
heat - 67 wins
ok city will not win as many games as last season but will get to the 2nd round
arenas has a good start to the season and gets dealt to Dallas or Orlando, whoever is more desperate at the deadline
the top 8 teams in the East have more total wins than the top 8 in West ..... which **** blows going forward for the Raptors
heat win the title over LA in 5 games.
DeMar takes a huge step forward, gets his PER to 16 and goes into 2011-2012 (assuming there's a season) with massive expectations to become a star in the league
