I know a few guys who work at Sportsnet and was talking to one today and he mentioned a rumour that is circling in the NBA involving Atlanta and Toronto.

Deal involves Calderon and a big for Bibby and a big. No word on picks or cash being sent either way but he said it would likely include one or the other.

That's about all I know other then both teams waived players today.

To put into context my source, he was the same guy who mentioned a few seasons back BC wanting Rasho to return if waived from Indiana when really it took a whole season to get him back. So he was right on him returning, just not in the time frame that was rumoured.

Would be a solid deal, cutting the last year off of Calderon's deal.

Mike Bibby has one less year, and is making about 3 million per season less than Jose. If the Raps add a big, then the hawks need to add at least 5 million, and probably a little more. I would hope we're getting a pick of some sort.

Yup....I couldn't care less for Bibby. This move would basically just be made to swap a contract ending in 2 years for a contract ending in 1 year.

Seems like a weird deal. Mike Bibby's expiring next year. Jose's not a starter and Jeff Teague isn't ready to play big minutes...why would they do this?

To get rid of last year of Calderon's salary, I'd do it. Start Bayless then with Bibby backing him up. Also means we don't have to get killed by Bibby every single time we face him anymore.

The best big they got is Zaza. Should improve our interior D a little bit.

The only big that fits salary-wise from the Hawks would be Zaza. Not sure why we'd do this deal.

Who's the big coming back? Pachulia?

Not really sure of what we want w/ Bibby aside from some vet leadership, but I'm okay w/ letting go of Calderon at this point if it means an upgraded big. Maybe Zaza for Dorsey? Looks like it makes sense contract-wise overall.
