Poll: How Separated Are We On These Bigs

Similar to the thread on Walker vs. Knight, which big would you draft?
Enes Kanter:
+Highly Skilled offensively(can shoot, post up)
+Excellent rebounder
+NBA ready body
--Knee problems
--Slow, could lack athleticism.
Jonas Valanciunas:
+Long, agile, athletic
+Finishes in the paint, outside shot.
+Hasn't grown yet
--Lacks strength
--Defensive issues
Donatas Motiejunas:
+Fast, athletic, aggressive.
+Can shoot, post up, finishes in the paint.
+Shot Blocker
--Can't rebound, play defense.
--Sometimes can be lazy.
Bismack Biyombo:
+Intimidating presence, shot blocker, rebounder.
+Great size, wingspan
+NBA ready body
--Very raw skillset
--Poor passer
There they are, 4 bigs that can potentially replace Bargs. They all have big flaws in their game and drafting another Euro is always a risk, but who is the most impressive? Personally I prefer Enes or Jonas.

I think you need to first learn where Europe is.

Do not want Bismack Biyombo...hes 6'9" why would u want him when we already have 2 undersized C's and Bargs who doesn't even want to sniff the paint

Non-American = Euro, besides, Bismack plays in the Euroleague.

I think there's more to discuss than you've depicted.
I prefer Jonas Valanciunas, but if he can't play for at least two years I'm not sure the pick is worth it. I think he maxes out as a Joakim Noah calibre talent, and I don't think that's worth waiting for when Biyombo and Kanter can play next year.
If we come down with any of these guys (no Donut) I'll be content.

His background is Croatian, so yes.

Biyombo is from Congo so there is an African amongst the bigs. Hard to say really. I'm not high on anyone of them. May Val but that's it.

stay away from Valanciunas and motiejunas is best for you.

No Ideal BPA?
So you draft for needs.
What are our needs? Defense, Toughness, Rebounding.
Who does that point to?

I'm hoping Bismack and Enes Kanter impress in the workout/measurements.
I keep hearing some bad news about both of their heights (barely 6'9"), poor wingspan and athleticism for Enes, and the unknown age of Bismack.
I am just crossing my fingers that their measurements pan out and they do well in the workouts. Now, watch them get drafted 3rd and 4th, LOL.

Biyombo brings more toughness, defense & rebounding than Val/Donatas.
Assuming Kanter is gone; i could see him being another dejuan blair situation dropping because of his knee 'problems'

Not to take anything away from Donatas, but I think Bismack is the one that's fast, athletic, and aggressive.

to be honest, all of the above players are likely to have an underwhelming impact or will flat out suck. i don't even care about whether their specific assets match the team needs given the potential for massive suckage. i'm going to say flat out right now that at least 1 out of these 5 guys will be out of the league after his initial contract and the rest will likely be bench/role players.
i'll trust BC to draft the BPA if it comes down to these guys, even if that means a 25 year old 6"9 african dude, a guy with wonky knees or a guy whose countryman might get drafted 15 positions after him but still end up with the better career as a towel-waver.
seriously, BC, BPA. i'll trust your judgement. if you screw up, i won't hold it against you given the given the general suckage beyond the top-2 this year. silver lining is that next year is a strong crop of talent and this team will probably end up with another top 5 pick.
EDIT: i said 5 guys because i thought the draft initially included Vesely. after Kanter, I think he'll probably be the next best player in the draft, and seems to play a good above-the-rim game, which might translate to weak side help and a few extra rebounds. i'll take it

The defensive upside of Biyombo make him a nice pick in this draft. Just this draft.

I don't see Kanter falling to us.
Biyombo would be a huge reach at 5, and is redundant with our frontcourt. Joey Dorsey could do what he does.

really? Dorsey as a lane intimidator? wow. Now that's something I never thought I would ever hear. Bismack has Wallace potential its a gamble but in this draft its not a bad one. Defense has got to be high on the list for the Raptors.

Unless someone can prove beyond any doubt that Bismack is under 20, I wouldn't touch him. If this kid turns out to be 24 to 26, his ceiling is maxed and we wasted that pick. I need proof!
Val won't be on this team probably for 3 seasons. Are we willing to wait that long? Is BC willing to waste a draft pick on a kid that might not play for his team before his contract is up?
Donatas Motiejunas.... I just threw up in my mouth.
Kanters' is not an option, he will be gone.
