Josh Smith.. perfect fit under Casey for this team

This has been discussed a few months ago.. but the situation as of today is different since Hawks are about to lose first round series against Celtics..
J-Smoove has said before that he will consider sign for another team (doesnt want to be overlooked).. Next season will be his last time with Hawks, since his contract will expire on 2013.. that means, Hawks will likely try to trade him before letting him go for nothing in return..

Imagine this lineup
SF Josh Smith
PF Bargs
C Big V

We could trade Jose (expiring) and Ed to them and add a future pick or smth.. and draft Damian Lillard (with the 8th pick)..
PG Lillard
SG DeRozan

Josh and Jonas would be our anchors on D
And Bargs, DeMar and Damian would provide the O

Smith can't play the 3 very well. Can't handle, cant shoot. Him and Demar together on the wings would be detrimental. I'm all for trading Bargs for him though.

Bargs for Smith is good for me. Gives Atlanta a scoring big, gives us a defensive 4.

I agree, he's better as a 4 than 3.

Casey would be good for Smith, but I don't think we have the assets to get him---outside of throwing in Davis + our 2nd rounder, etc. along with Andrea.

Smith might lack a shot, but our defense would be phenomenal with him on the floor

we should take advantage of Jose's contract.. we'll finally have the chance to trade him

our offense without Bargs has a lot of flaws, so Im not in for trading him
