"Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun reports, "it would be a major surprise if [James Johnson] is a Raptor next season."
Johnson, who established himself as a defensive menace (and potential fantasy goldmine) last season, is under contract for a reasonable $2.8 million next season, with a $4.0 million qualifying offer in 2013-14. Wolstat, a reliable Raptors writer, admits that he doesn't have any specific insights into why Johnson might not stick around. For now, just keep this in mind."

Am I the only one who's not a big fan of Gray? I mean I don't hate him, but I'd play Val,Amir,Ed,Magloire and even Quincy Miller before him. I guess he's brought back because he's the only true big 7 footer we have?

People are overrating this guy on the board. I said this before, I expect him gone. He can't shoot or dribble. His strength is obviously defense but this isn't football. Add to the fact him and Casey got into an argument or whatever it was, he will be gone.

@WolstatSun It’s because he and the coaching staff have very different opinions of what kind of player he is/should be.

Aaron Gray has agreed to a multi-year agreement for 9 mil to return to Toronto, league source tells Y! Sports.

4.5 mil?! Yuck, its not like he was in demand anywhere else. should have offered 3 mil or 3.5 max.

If Bayless is in the market for a long time, we should make an offer for him!

Btw, my post was in response to this gem found in the Aaron Gray to the raps gb thread:

We graduated together.
I live down the hill from his parents.
He is arrogant.
He's been dating my good friend Darren since high school.

People think JJ is gone because of this problem with Casey and because of the Fields signing. However I think it is just as likely that Ed is moved and Kleiza is shifted to backing up Bargs almost exclusively. Kleiza is better at the 4 and allows the offense more continuity.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Bayless isn't even getting a rumour about someone bringing him in.
