Devlin hit the nail on the head... And right as hockey will be starting their season. Has this been the lowest point of the Raptor's 16 year history?

We have lost 4 of 5 in overtime and we are not even close to the half season point.

Is this the bottom of our franchise's story so far? Is this how far we have fallen since Bosh and Carter before?

I would say this is pretty much the bottom..like we dont even have one single star or potential all-star at this point..we have no direction...bloated contracts...and to top it all off we might not even get our first round pick this year? Its pathetic. I would rather lose 65 games then to be between 11th-9th place every year. Lookup treadmill in the dictionary and you should see our all favourite purple dino!

We usually lose the same ways though. Win the first half by 10+, lose the 2nd half by 20+ OR the classic tie with 10 seconds left only to lose because we are not clutch.

it's downright embarrassing how unclutch this team is, and it's been like this for quite a few seasons, you've heard the phrase "they find a way to win", well the Raptors literally find a way to lose. Break out the paper bags

Guys. The only good thing is these moments prepare them for the playoffs. This is how intense it is so if they get over the hump they will be right there.

Raps organization needs to suck off Stern or Silver too to get this pick too.

This is probably the least optimistic I've been with this team since the rookie-Bosh days when Carter was screwing our team sideways.

Its excusable to lose a lot of games because of our talent basis, but being capped out as well + without a pick to look forward to this summer? Not much will change until 2014. I'm happy for Valanciunas, Ross and Davis' development, but there are so many bad things going for this team

The recent stretch of game recaps exactly where the Raptors are at right now given its roster. We have guys with good potential, we have good system players but we lack the closer/star to get us over that hump and to bail us out when things arent rolling/opponent is making a heavy run. Hell even a player like Bosh's stature would bode well.

What if BC and MLSE envisioned drafting and building around Wiggins when they saw him in 2006 (year of BC arrival, and beginnig of Wiggins exposure)? *add Keanu Reeves meme here*

Our best players play the same position.

Jose and Lowry for whatever their individual faults are, are miles ahead of anyone on this team, talent wise.

Same thing goes for Amir and Ed, who play the same position which isn't as detrimental because having useful bigs is always a bonus.

Alan Anderson is our most complete wing player and he's 30. That is an issue when most team's talented wing player can usually defend and is an athletic beast, a skilled creator and shot maker, or a combination of both. AA does all of these things well but to a sub-par level when comparing amongst other league starters. All of our wings do one or two things well, hopefully Ross can eventually break that mold, he doesn't have that one-on-one ability yet, but he seems at least average on D and O at this point.

Our offense is stale and would work great if there was some random breakdowns where players at multiple positions could be threats to break their man down and score in short clock situations.

DeRozan can do this if he cuts to the weakside under the basket for a low post up opportunity, but he doesn't fight hard enough to seal his man.

Bargnani can do the same, but instead of fighting for position from 5-10 ft from the hoop (where he is damn near automatic on turnarounds) he settles for 18-19ft from the top of the arc of a horrible one dribble pull up, or settling for threes behind the arc.

Lowry, again is probably the most capable, but only when the screener opens him enough for a pull up J, he's too small and nearly always falls on his ass when driving to the hoop. Foul or otherwise, he usually ends up costing us a basket the other way when he doesn't get back in transition if he misses.

New Sig says it all. I'm not singling out those guys above or anyone else for that matter. Talent infusion is the sole solution. Our role players as of now would be great alongside one SUPERSTAR or two annual ALLSTAR players. We need that closer (at least one), that willing finisher who HAS the actually size, talent, athleticism and KILLER INSTINCT to have it work out for him on most possessions when the team's well dries up.
