I agree with MEDIC.
VC and Keon first. Few other good dunkers.
Don't forget Joey Graham. In one specific season, he did many of the top ten best dunks in Raptors season.

About Bargnani: he did some great driving dunks. It's a little bit frustrating to see almost only jump shot when we know he is able to score in another way
"But the thing is, maybe I do want to wake up one morning and say, `Baby, let's go to the Bahamas. Today.' That costs money. So what if I want to do that?

I'm surprised VC, Tmac and Keon aren't running away with this poll.

1) Vince

2) T-Mac

3) Ross - More fluid than DD in the air.

4) Derozan (mostly off of dunk comp stuff like "showtstopper"

5) Weems

6) Moon - He jumped over players/refs but when we had him he was a bit older

7) Clark - His cram on Bradley was nasty

8) Pops

9) Ed

10) Amir

I don't remember any DD's in-game dunks other than that Bobcats one a year or two ago.

Yeah, me neither.

Ross has had some absolutely sick dunks this year - he's clearly got that sort of natural, aesthetically pleasing body control that Vince and Griffin have and guys like DeMar and LeBron lack. (As someone mentioned, both DeMar and Lebron seem to time their dunks oddly - they're always dunking with the body straight up and the rim directly over their head. Dunks almost always look better when players are in front of the rim and leaning into it.)

Anyways, if Ross can put on some man-weight and start throwing down a few with contact, he could definitely become the best Raptor dunker......after Vince, of course. He doesn't have a chance to beat VC. ;)

Nope, VC FTW!

But Ross definitely can be the 2nd greatest, passing guys like T-Mac, Fred Jones (remember him?), Joey Graham and Moon...

It's such a drag there aren't good youtube clips available of some of Keon Clark's crazy dunks. He was so vertically explosive it was ridiculous, and he loved to finish with power that seemed to come out of nowhere because he was so absurdly skinny. I mean his legs were truly sticks but he would shoot up like he had rockets in his shoes. Can't find any clips but that one grainy one though. If anyone could find some good ones that would be great...

I still remember him dunking on like 3 Knick (Camby in there somewhere) towards the end of that playoffs series.
He also had many, I mean MANY blocks that makes Larry Sanders look like a baby...
Too bad he had never played a minute of NBA game sober...

Where is Pop Mensah Bonsouh in this thread? :-)

VC - TMAC and Keon Clark.

People voting for Ross over TMAC better be under 15!

This thread needs an age limit, apparently some posters in here started watching BBall in 2008. They should just go to youtube and search for TMAC highlights then come back. I can believe that people have not seen enough Keon Clark plays or highlights but TMAC? Really?

Well, those three are almost running away with it... Ross just gets some 'homer' votes I think.
I'd be VC, Tmac, Keon then Ross.

I think the poll needs to be more specific: "What is the best dunk in Raptors history."

Errrr.....no Bosh? Bosh had some absolutely filthy throwdowns in his time.

I think his best dunk ever (Bosh) was the two step take off over Theo but beyond that I don't remember a ton of amazing Bosh dunks. His leaping ability, as evidenced by his combine results, wasn't terribly impressive. Bosh was more of a speed guy with moderate athleticism than a guy that relied heavily on jumping over guys. He moved quicker than most but didn't necessarily jump better than most.

And I tend to favor dunkers who add a bit of flavor to their dunks (guys that are capable of reverses, windmills, nice alley-oops, etc) and get up high over big guys. Ed and Amir get up pretty high though for big guys which is why I have them in the top 10. Amir Johnson's two-foot takeoff, two-handed dunk from just outside the circle about 10 games back was absolutely filthy and he did it in traffic too.

Ross has had some unbelievable in game dunks despite only being with us for less than half a season. The dunk that was called off showcased ridiculous explosiveness and his offensive rebound dunk against Portland last week was one of the better in game dunks of this year, IMO (especially when you see it in slow motion from the baseline angle). He's honestly had some really good ones this year.

The only reason I have DD so high is because he has had some impressive ones in dunk contests over the years. His in-game dunks could be better given what he's capable of in dunk contests. He has had some nice alley-oops over the years though.

PS - We may not be spoiled as far as winning goes but we have been pretty spoiled as far as dunkers/athleticism go. Any team with only a 17 year history that has athletes like Derozan, Weems and Moon 4th, 5th or 6th has had its fair share of dunkers. And obviously VC spoiled us so badly that almost everybody else seems boring by comparison.
