OT: Wayne Gretzky may become MLSE CEO?

From what I've read Rogers/Bell have been trying to straighten things out at MLSE and put a system in place with more accountability. As a result they've been searching hard from someone with credibility to become the face of MLSE.
From the Fan: There have been preliminary talks with Gretzky and so far they've been positive.
Just putting it out there so you know what to expect soon.
Not sure what the implications for the Raptors would be though.

We'll find out either way....think its for the Leafs or MLSE.
The remake of MLSE is expected to come from the top down. After former MLSE CEO Richard Peddie announced his retirement and Teachers completed the sale of its stake, MLSE began to search for a new person to run the business. Mr. Anselmi, who is president and chief operating officer, is the face of the organization for now, but the search for a CEO remains active, a source close to the board said.
“Obviously, I would aspire to the CEO title,” Mr. Anselmi said. “Who the CEO is, is the most important decision any board makes. They have the right to test me and see if I’m the right guy.”
For Rogers and BCE, the choice of the next CEO is important. The surest way to ensure their investment pays off is to build winners.

I was listening a bit earlier in the day, but Bob, Damien Cox and Kypreos were only speculating about the next Leaf president. They suggested the thing entirely.

They are really looking to put recognizable/marketeable names to the brand it seems. I predict both Leafs and Raps to go on trigger happy mode over the next year.

It would go against what they have been looking for. Word is that so far the new ownership has approached:
Bob Nicholson - President of Hockey Canada
Someone within the Canadiens organization (name slips my mind.)
Ivan Fecan - CEO of CTV
Word is that all three have turned it down, so maybe a change of direction?
