Mods, Raps vs Huskies has become a hot topic and has reached a climatic point. Please leave this thread open so we can get a good idea of where the majority of fans on RealGM currently stand on the potential name change.

Fans on here have been debating heavily on a name change. There are a big chunk that seem to want Huskies and others that want to keep Raptors. There has been no official comment from MLSE on a name change.

Edit: The most they've said so far is:

“We’re definitely going to take a look at it [name change]. It doesn’t mean we’re committed to it. It means it’s a good conversation. I saw those generic uniforms today in the paper. … That won’t be the uniform, by the way. I can assure you of that. I think we need to have this conversation,”

The Huskies colors and logo has grown on me. I voted Huskies. The Raptors were named after the Jurassic Park fad, let's put that **** behind us already.

Actually, Tim Leiweke said they're considering changing their name. That's as official as you can get.

Huskies. As long as they don't make the jersey too similar to the Timberwolves jersey, which is the reason they didn't name the franchise Huskies in the first place.

I can't remember, was he referring it to just the re-brand or specifically the name?
