Let me get the ball rolling..
How about Rudy Gay for Charlie V and Stuckey? I think it benefits both teams.

Fixed.
Because without Gay on this team, Lowry probably wants out and we'd be on our way towards a top-5 choice.

I'm actually pretty happy with this team.
I'd love to see a "sell high" on Lowry around the deadline.

Lowry for a young PG and 1st rounder. Someone will do that at the deadline for sure. It'll be protected though
Edit: I'm thinking CJ Mcollum

Unload lowry for a mid first round pick to a playoff contender. He has an expiring contract so it shouldn't be that hard to trade him. Teams like memphis, golden state and washington could use him as a short term upgrade coming off the bench.
Trade Rudy Gay, acy to indiana for Danny Granger and Ian Mahinmi. The pacers need scoring and Gay will give them just that. They just recently added Scola so they might be willing to let Mahinmi go. Granger's contract expires after this season (14 million) and Mahinmi's contract is not too extreme (4 mil/year, 12 in total).
Trade Amir Johnson to a contender for a late first rounder, this man deserves to compete on a winning team, he will hustle and provide a lot of energy. IMO he is just not good enough to be a starting 4 on a winning team even though he is still just 26.
I would keep DeRozan. First of all, the raptors can easily lose 60 games with him as the starting shooting guard. Second, he just turned 24 so there is still time for him to improve. Third, he is a perfect complementary player to Wiggins because he is a true SG, he doesn't need to dominate the ball to score, and he is a good slasher and rim penetrator. Wiggins seems to be a mini Lebron, in that he is already an adequate passer, ball handler, scorer and shooter. The two of them will instantly become the most atheletic wing duo...That is if we do get Wiggins

I still think a deal for Tristan Thompson or Greg Monroe is the best bet after a couple of months into the season.
IF either Detroit or Cleveland suck after a few months, I think they'd be desperate enough to retain a proper starting SF to pair with their groups. Both of those teams are desperate to make the playoffs... Detroit invested a lot in their core, if it doesn't work, they'll probably want to improve their weaknesses. Same goes for the Cavs... Irving wants to make the playoffs at minimum... they need to appease his desire... Gilbert has said that he's done with the lottery... there could be some interesting scenario's come mid-season. The Raps will be players if we prove to not be a good team. In Masai-ah I trust.

Monroe + garbage for Rudy Gay just seems like the deal that makes the most sense right now...it just seems so obvious for both sides imo.

Do you guys think there's a higher chance of the Cavaliers being a more a realistic trade partner or Detroit based on our fits/needs? It almost seems like Toronto and Cleveland are perfect trade partners.

I think Cleveland is more likely. The question is, what are they willing to give up? Thompson? Unlikely Bennett, as he just went #1.
Detroit has enough minutes for Monroe, Drummond, and Smith in their frontcourt. Why trade Monroe? Especially for Rudy?

Trying to think of trade possibilities for us to land Horford (who I think would be amazing next to Val) but don't see anything the Hawks might want

There's a lot of people doubting that Smith can play SF properly.. I've heard it from ATL fans too.

I'm one of them, to be honest. I don't think he can play the 3 for significant minutes. However, look at this rotation:
Drummond - 30 min at C
Monroe - 20 min at PF, 16 min at C
Smith - 8 min at SF, 24 min at PF
There's still garbage minutes to go energy bigs off the bench or for foul purposes.
Lots of minutes to go around. I think Detroit should use their expirings and trade them to Boston for Gerald Wallace.
But that's another story...

It could work, especially considering Drummond isn't allowed on the court in the final quarter.

Ice here with another amazing trade idea:
Rudy Gay and NYK 2016 1st Round Pick to Cleveland
for
Thompson and Carrick Felix
Cleveland needs a starting caliber Small Forward. Let's face facts: Bennett is going to be better suited at the 4 as opposed to the 3. They added Earl Clark for at least the next two years. They are ready to contend, to keep Irving happy. Here would be their new depth chart:
Bynum/Varejao/Zeller
Bennett/Clark
Gay/Gee
Waiters/Miles
Irving/Jack
That's a top 5 team in the East if Bynum can stay healthy. Good depth, fairly young, some leadership in there, some vets, a solid sixth man in Jack.

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=n7ncrcgTOR OUT: Gay, Lowry
TOR IN: Butler, Ridnour, Ilyasova, Antetokounmpo
MIL OUT: Butler, Ridnour, Ilyasova, Antetokounmpo
MIL IN: Gay, Lowry
Why for Toronto? We go full tank mode and dump Gay and Lowry for two expirings and two young assets.
Why for Milwaukee? They upgrade their starting 5 and maximize their chances of making the playoffs as a low seed. From all reports, their management are very concerned about staying competitive in order to drive ticket sales.
Thoughts?
