You forgot the option: "Gold or Bronze plated statue of Masai outside the ACC?"

Guys, the tank isn't official yet, we actually are a better team now.
Obviously that should change cause Masai said we will not be in no mans land.

I hope it is not Casey making the calls. But then, who, if not Casey?

He just wasted time with Rudy Gay, could have done a garbage deal like this at the beginning of the season and we could have ensured we are in the top 5 in the draft.

we are awful now... and honestly I feel better that we at least saw it out. having Gay has won us no extra games this year, so its not a setback... this way we save face, we didn't quit before the season started

Ill reserve my vote until later this month, to see if there are more trades.

That kinda defeats the purpose.. How would you vote now if you had a gun to your head?

Yeah, made everyone who thought Gay was somehow Lebron level see how he really plays. I'm sure Masai already knew this of course, now he doesn't have to prove that he sucks

I'm against the trade. Tank commanders like Gay only come along once in a generation. You don't give that up unless your getting Lebron in return.

Depends whether a tanker or a playoff supporter is holding it.

Thanks!
I am not completely surprised by the results of the poll...except by the strength of the movement towards Strongly Approve. It was clear a lot of people were still somewhat on the fence and waiting for Masai to make his move. The strength of the movement in this poll tells me that Masai dramatically exceeded our expectations for what we could reasonably expect to get for Rudy Gay.
Now its going to get interesting.
btw...I hope people can now see why I ran the poll several times despite very little change. By doing so, we were able to establish a much more valid assessment of the position of the fanbase prior to this trade. Similarly, by running the poll again in about a week or so, we will see how valid these results are...and so on.

Exceeded expectations on the Gay trade? It's a pretty mediocre haul but at least we did not have to throw in a sweetener to be rid of Gay after his horrid start to the season. Just more proof of how bad BCs trades were.
People are just happy MU has chosen a direction, and its the direction 70% of the board wants.
The players we got from SAC were pretty much what you would expect when balancing salaries. Salmons was a given. Vazquez is a nice piece to run PnR the rest of this tank year and later become a solid backup PG potentially if we draft a stud PG.
I am happy Gay is out so he won't be back next year. And happy MU is trying to move our pick up in the lotto and not going for that shiny Titanic division title.

The majority of the time a message board strongly approves of a trade. I agree with lucky777s that Ujiri didn't make out like a bandit here. Perhaps the Grange story leaked a few days ago stating that Ujiri couldn't move him without taking back an even longer bad contract makes this seem like a win. This haul is worse than what we could have had in the summer from Detroit. Ujiri's gamble that he might get something better didn't work out, but didn't really cost us anything in the long-term as well.
I'd like to hear Ujiri's comments on the deal to confirm that he's given up on the season. Otherwise I'm just going to assume he jumped at what he thought was the best possible offer for a player he didn't see being a part of their future anyway.
