I think we must upgrade the PF spot for the Raptors. I like Jonas Valanciunas and we should be patient with his development. However, he seems like he is just OKAY at everything but nothing really stands out. Therefore, I am just curious what kind of PF will match his game further down the road?

Double double in his first two career playoffs games are still just okay and not standing out?

Porzingis or Anderson when he bulks up both can pass and both have range to stretch the defense.
Worst on team now is Amir with Patterson much more suitable.

I think a PF that can stretch the floor. When Jonas learns to establish deep post position he will be deadly.

I think JV needs to add some strength so that he can defend big power guys like Pekovic, Nene, etc

Serge Ibaka. Which is probably why Presti wanted JV so bad in the first place.

If Jonas is playing in the low post, someone in high post or above the 3 point area would be great. Passing, particularly entry pass and shooting would be important for him to work in the paint area.

I don't see Jonas playing in the high post, as his passing game isn't very good. He doesn't spot cutters (yet), and not someone who can make different type of passes (bounce, lob, pass in front, and etc.). So he can't play with someone in the paint (cannot play with Boozer, since Noah can play the point, but Jonas can't).

When looking at Duncan and M. Gasol, a stretch big with good offensive rebound would be nice. When looking at Aldridge and Hibbert, a good rebounder with at least having range beyond foul line.

Meanwhile, it is more important to have a dynamic guards, where they can handle the ball and capable of finding open players. All of those teams with great C or PF, they have a dynamic PG.

Chris Bosh. He's got that very good mid range jumper from the elbow and in the past year he has become a fairly good 3 point shooter. Of course, the likelihood of Bosh returning is next to none but I think he'd work well with JV.

I always thought that Millsap would be an awesome fit next to JV since he got drafted. Millsap is a great rebounder, good defender with quick hands, has range from outside of the key & can take offensive pressure off JV. However Millsap is also very good off ball, and that would let JV still reach his potential while having an all-star level PF next to him.
