I never got this "I have to say I am the best player to give myself an edge and prove how confident I am in myself, and I can take anyone any time" sort of attitude. If you haven't won an MVP or a championship as the best player on your team, you are probably not the best player in the game.

And even if you did, it is a team game and individual awards and accolades should mean nothing to a player. Rings should be the only thing that matter. Who ever hears anyone on the Spurs brag about anything individual.

Rockets... 2 one way douchebag stars, a coach who pisses players off, and a GM who treats players like dirt. Fantastic.

Tbh, he just looks like another one of those players that will decline fast or be overweight in his early 30's lol soon that "forced contact" won't allow him to beat his defenders, we all know T ross makes quick work of him on defense.

I think he's going to show the world he can play without flopping this year. He's also going to shut down opposing SG's and earn the D in his last name.

James Harden is the definition of a clown... along with his teammate Dwight Howard.

He hasn't proved anything so far in his career that he is "the best." He can't lead his team to the 2nd round and he played horribly against the Trail Blazers in the playoffs. I'll be looking foward to his 1st round exit next year at the hands of the Spurs!

When the conversation of "best player" comes up Harden is on no ones minds.

Someone asked Harden this question, he didn't go out of his way to say it. And even if he doesn't believe it himself, what do you expect him to say? What kind of professional athlete would remark that other players are better than him? I'm pretty sure many benchwarmers in this league would say the same thing, let alone a top 10 player in the game.

He's good, but the best?!
