Advanced Stats say Kyle Lowry - MVP of the EAST

Kyle Lowry is leading the East right now in both Win Shares and Value Added, and arguably leading the East in PER. Currently Wade has a slightly better PER but has only played in 11 games vs 19 for K-Low. He also has the best Assist to Turnover among starters in the East.
Kyle is a LOCK for All-Star and to me he should be legitimately in the conversation for MVP. Numbers don't lie!

Sadly Kyrie Irving is probably going to be starting over him, even if Lowry deserves it more.

He has 1.27 deflections per 100 chances and a Pressure Rate of 2.31 per 100 chances.
For all Lowry's offensive skill (current offensive efficiency of 120 this season), it is his defense that has stood out. He is the leader of a top-10 defense, and Vantage has picked up on his gritty D. Per Vantage Stats, Lowry is allowing his opponents to shoot just 42.2 percent from the floor. At 6'0", 175 pounds, Lowry’s in-your-face defense makes it extremely difficult for guards to get an adequate shot off. For a smaller guard with a high minute total like Lowry, this is an incredible mark.
What Lowry does best, though, is getting into the opposition, creating turnovers.

I could be wrong but I think Vantage has paid the 30K for Synergy, or is affiliated with them, thus the 42% against.
Because according to NBA.com, he allows his OPPs to shoot 45.4 FG%, which is 1.5 FG% better than their avg.I did like the deflections/pressure rates though, wish I could look at league wide/teams/etc..

So it seems we have a superstar player, even if he is an unheralded one. If we keep up this torrid pace I hope Uriji can make another move to put us over the top by the trade deadline. Preferably without giving up Ross or Val. We could use more size off the bench - that's really our only weakness.

The best part of Lowry is no matter how aggressive his D, he NEVER commits a foul (according to him).

I don't know if Lowry will get an MVP in his career, but he's bound to get a few Finals MVPs with the Raptors.
