I could care less about the logo. All I care about is that we have a dleague team to develop our young players.

I agree in the sense I care more about results than appearance.

But while in my own life I take pride in getting results at work, I also bother to brush my hair and teeth and make sure I'm wearing shoes that don't look like a dog chewed them.

Some things are more important than others, but everything reflects.

For the people saying who cares, the focus is that we have a D-league team, yeah, that is important, but not the focus of THIS thread. Nobody putting down the logo or name is disparaging the fact that we actually have a D-league team, but the fact that the logo and name themselves are asinine. As JYD said, it all reflects.

I actually don't care what the main franchise's logo looks like. But this whole marketing thing of, let's try to suck in as many fans around the GTA as possible by calling the team 905 instead of Mississauga. It's just painful marketing. It's the extreme opposite of the past, where everything was red to try to get the whole country to buy in. Now they're trying to get the GTA to buy in. The franchise needs to accept that winning is the best marketing strategy.

I somewhat agree, but a good team name and logo will attract fans.

The development won't happen without those fans supporting the team because we all know MLSE has to see dollars coming in to stay invested. Giving the team a credible name and logo would let the people of Mississauga want to cheer for the team, buy merchandise and go to games. This garbage being released isn't going to grow a much needed fan base.
