I agree. The NFL, the choice of "Canadians" who like American beer.

Probably more NFL fans in Toronto than Raptors fans. Atleast that's what television ratings suggest.

That's interesting. Somewhat makes sense I guess considering that in the U.S. the NFL blows away the NBA in popularity and you likely get coverage of all the games there. I never think about the NFL being terribly big internationally so I wasn't sure.
Is it mostly Bills fans or is it completely random? Can you get the Directv NFL Sunday Ticket?

It's random. I mean a large chunk of Bills fan and season ticket holders. But one of several reasons the Bills in Toronto series never worked out because Toronto as a whole didn't want the Buffalo Bills they wanted the Toronto Bills. Plus the Rogers Centre is a terrible place to watch a Football game. It's not a suitable venue for NFL Football. The pricing was also outrageous and tailgating was illegal at the time.
We do have access to NFL Sunday Ticket. I own it and I don't have Direct TV. Not even sure if Direct TV is available in Canada.
Regardless we get several games every week across several networks on some of the most basic cable packages.
The desire for NFL Football is pretty large but any conversation would have to start with building a new stadium. Something they won't do until they get a team. From what I heard they were fully prepared to when they bid over a billion for the Bills. Had a location picked out and everything.

Heck, the Chargers should move there. They'd have some long road trips though. They'd certainly get more fan support there than being the step child in LA if they go there, and probably more fan support than they get in San Diego. I wouldn't mind as long as they were the Buffalo Chargers and kept their uniforms. Would love to go to some games in Toronto.

NFL is big in Toronto but CFL is bigger throughout the rest of Canada. You see, Torontonians think they are too big for the CFL but will gladly support a 3rd rate soccer team like TFC.
People who like football will generally watch both even if they prefer one over the other. There's a few that are exclusively CFL and will only watch the Super Bowl and vice versa.
There are a lot of Bills fans but it's still pretty spread out. Toronto is like the U.N of the NFL. Representatives from every team. If I were to rank at how fans per team I'd go. 1. Bills. 2.Steelers 3.Packers 4.Seahawks 5.Pats, but a ton of Cowboys fans and Eagles fans too. But you'll even find Jags and Bucs fans.

The Bills, Chargers, and Raiders have always been the rumoured teams. Even the Colts at one point were considered. It's a large market I'm sure the NFL wants in on. Wether its an expansion team or a relocated team. Its a matter of time not if Toronto will get a team. Now that Los Angeles has a team again. Toronto along with Las Vegas are the top contenders for relocation. I still think one of the Chargers or Raiders will end up in LA as well. But I look forward to the day we have a team.
I love NFL Football.

Do you think if the Chargers moved there they would have a big fanbase or would fans mostly stick to the teams they have already become fans of? I kind of did both. When the Cardinals moved to AZ I was a kid, but loved the Chargers already so the Cards I supported to but I have a hard time changing loyalty completely and never would.
Sounds like after the Bills you have the teams with the biggest fanbases listed in general, though the Patriots were not on that list until about the last 15 years.

Yeah the Seahawks and to some extent Pats are the recent bandwagoners teams. Chargers could get some of those supporters I guess if they do well and the Pats and Hawks start to fade. I don't think you're gonna convert many Bills or Steelers fans though.
I dunno man. If I were you I'd rather be the Rams' step-sister than being the Toronto Chargers, you're gonna get a lot of bandwagoners and newbie fans. But I'm also pretty biased because I enjoy the hell out of the CFL and in my opinion with the proximity of the Bills and to some extent the Lions I see no need for an NFL team to come to Toronto and essentially kill the Argos.

Well since the Rams were in LA almost everyone there except the Raiders fans will pull for the Rams. There are VERY few Chargers fans in LA. They would be like the Clippers were to the Lakers I think.
Toronto seems more like a place that would really embrace the team more. Maybe I feel that way because I see how active this forum is and how passionate fans are.
I've been to San Diego games against the St Louis Rams were Rams fans from LA would come down and be everywhere. There are always people in forums or commenting on articles about the Chargers potential relocation who are Rams fans coming into say "we do not want the Chargers here." Not really sure why. It seems a team from each conference would be great for NFL fans.
