On Twitter (@Jared_Sully0), Sullinger remains outspoken on the controversy between Black Lives Matter and police.
It’s his right.
But I have not seen one Raptor speak out to help catch the killers of Toronto’s 50-plus victims of homicide this year — including those behind the slayings of a mom and her premature baby.
These players are promoting U.S. anti-police sentiment in Canada — something they should do on their own time.
Unlike the Raptors, the Jays and Orioles — and the fans — can show how professionalism looks by embracing the war dead and paying proper tribute.
You know the words. Sing both O Canada and the Star Spangled Banner so loud there will be no mistaking the message.
The anthems are about patriotism and freedom and the fallen. Not for hating on police who keep us safe. The 50,000 fans at Rogers Centre can make their own peaceful acknowledgement of that Tuesday.

When will people understand that these protests have no disrespect towards the dead who fought for "freedom"? Why should someone show pride or respect towards their country if they are not proud of it?

Locking arms isn't even a disrespectful gesture, it actually represents solidarity and love

Are we sure Joe Warmington has no relation to Buzz Killington? Or Vince NoChillington?

I always cringe at the whole "the military protects us and our freedoms!" narrative. It's utter nonsense lol.

I hate all national anthems at sporting events. Keep all that politic bs outta sports. And why is it such a bad thing to stand up against the American military anyway? Didn't they just invade a country accusing them of having nuclear weapons, kill their people, mess up their country and then go "opps, our bad, you don't have nuclear weapons, no hard feelings"
Because I have no problem with people not standing for that war, or many other unjust wars in the past.
But ya keep that politic bs outta sports. I tune in for entertainment and to escape all the BS going on around the world.

This guy made a living apologizing for Rob Ford's criminal activity. Calling him the jackass of the year doesn't give him enough credit for his entire career.

Paragraphs.
They are a great way to help a reader follow the logic of an argument.
When you don't use them you look like a simpleton.
And if that wasn't bad enough -- and it is -- the content is made up garbage.

This.
Why do we even play them? Seriously. I'm old enough to remember when they played God Save the Queen at a movie theatre before the show. And when the symphony orchestra played it before the start of a concert or opera. None of them do now, because it's not a civic necessity. The sports world makes it one, but for no special reason I can see.

Warmington is a right-wing Trumper Sucker. He was Rob Ford's media enabler.

Considering your an old man it's pretty pathetic that you just gloss over WW2. I'm sure if Hitler had just been shown that we understand his concerns and see where his anger is coming from, he would've stopped attacking and conquering every country around him. If only 21st century "conflict resolution" was around back then the whole world war thing could've been stopped, lol, but stupid ass America had to go in with their military...
Military responsibility in any conflict comes down entirely to their effectiveness and tactics on the ground
The motivation behind using the military and getting the population behind war efforts is entirely a political issue
Whether a soldier fights in a just and righteous war or not has nothing to do with them. There were dirtbag soldiers on the allies side because of how they conducted themselves, just as there were men of honor in the invasion of Iraq because of how they conducted themselves. For anyone to blame the military for a countries motivations behind a war is the definition of unaware. I understand kids not grasping this but it shouldn't need to be explained to grown men.

Anthems in general don't make any **** sense. Honestly stuff like that just divides the human race even further and national pride (+ religion) starts 99% of the worlds probelms
