Follow up move?

A follow up move must be coming after this Ibaka trade.

We now have Ibaka, JV, Patterson, Bebe, Siakam, Poeltl and Sullinger at the 4/5. With only Norman, DD, and Carroll at the wings.

Poeltl for Chandler or Tucker?

Tucker or Chandler. Cut Carrolls minutes and the team improves overall.

We need to ship Cojo for Tucker then we're ECF bound.

Down for PJ Tucker off the bench.

Sullinger is as good as gone. There's no reason to have this tank commander on our team anymore unless he takes Bebe's backup C spot.

At worst, Sullinger is going to get dumped to a team that needs to hit the salary floor (DEN, PHI, BRK)

Sullinger/Bruno for Tucker would be amazing and really sure up the lineup

I agree - Ibaka alone won't move us into contention.

It's not enough to make up for Casey's ineptitude OR LeBron James come April.

Signs that we will re-sign Bebe just got flushed down the toilet and he has the most value right now.

Might as well trade him and a filler for something.

Joseph for a wing, clears more salary this summer

We need a backup SF and a vet. Literally Vince Carter should be the top of our list right now.

Sullinger + Bruno for Vince and a memphis 2nd round pick.

Need a wing shooter to take Powell's old role since Powell's sliding into that 20-25 mins off the bench slot.

Someone like Jodie Meeks, a guy who won't get much time, but if we need some shooting out there we can put him in for like 5-10 mins a game

Would prefer another guy you can toss at Lebron. But failing that, a Meeks type player isn't a bad option either.

Well, I've always seen Joseph as more of a 1/2 than a pure point. My guess is that Norman gets Ross's minutes, and any additional wing minutes go to Cojo or Carroll (who's only playing 27 mpg, the lowest since he played in Utah).

It would make sense for depth reasons, because now in the case of an injury, we won't really have much there. Personally, I don't want to trade Poetl or Siakam (I'm still a big believer in both of their potentials), but trading Bebe or Sullinger for a similar level player would help shape the roster nicely. In other words, getting a mediocre player who can fill in if there's an injury.

Casspi?
I also think they would attach assets to Sullinger before moving poeltl

List of needs:

1 - A coach who can draw up a play and make the most out of his roster.

2 - A well-rounded, elite scorer that makes Demar into a 3rd option come the playoffs.

Should probably add some insurance against a Carroll injury. But as it stands, the Raptors have a 9 man playoff rotation in place.

We have a log jam of bigs.

JV/Poetl/Sullinger/Siakam/Bebe/Patterson/Ibaka

Someone there needs to be moved ASAP for a SF/SG VETERAN wing.
