If anyone has an internal link please let me know.
I think he's either going to stay, or leave.

Don't get your hopes to high. This job is already filled and this posting is just a publicity stunt like any other high end jobs. Its already been given to some relative working in Management who is merely a high school dropout. That my friends is life in Canada.

The chances of you getting any of these jobs are poor if you don't have a link. The person that will end up with these jobs will hardly be qualified for them. Dude these jobs are all about who you know.

That's why I suggest trying to do some research and contacting and getting in touch with the direct manager for this position, or HR trying to fill this position, and executive to the manager of this position. Maybe try to schedule a coffee or something.

"Strong understanding of basketball and the National Basketball Association."

They should've added this requirement for head coach position too.

This is a fantastic opportunity. I would be all over it if I weren't already happily employed.

Thanks for sharing, OP. And good luck friends. May the best applicant win!

Windows XP? Between Masai's Blackberry and the Community Relations team using Windows XP, we're officially a treadmill technology team.

Interview question #1: Do you now, or have you ever, posted on one of the Raptors-based forums online?

If the answer is anything other than "I've never posted on a forum of any kind", then you are basically disqualified.

It's not the kind of job that requires a higher level of education, so I actually commend them on not including that as a mandatory stipulation. This sort of position is tailor-made for a go-getter with good people skills, something a lot of people of all walks and backgrounds have, and while I do somewhat agree that the posting is mostly for show and to perhaps add to their pool of "future call ups", I disagree that it's likely to go to some relative of a management type. These jobs have a lot of competition for them and they generally go to those who have interned and are already well known, those who already know someone and are part of "the in crowd" in terms of knowing or dealing with athletes or famous people, or they come from a parallel field in managing VIPs either in film, music, sports or some other field where being organized and on the ball with people's needs is a must. Also extreme confidentiality and trust.

You can't learn these skills in school.
