JOB OVERVIEW
As a valuable member of the Community & Sports Partnerships team, you will organize and administer various Toronto Raptors Community programs and work as the day-to-day contact for our players.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement a variety of team and league community programs.
Act as the day-to–day contact for Raptors player appearances and NBA Cares programs.
Work with Manager to create program budgets and potential promotional plans.
Collaborate with internal departments to integrate other business units into programs i.e. sponsorship, etc.
Develop programs with our players that further their personal interests, community and corporate partners.
Create postmortems for each program including detailed execution summaries and executive reports.
Develop and manage the team off-court calendar, including team partner road trips.
Manage and update PATS for NBA annual reporting.
Coordinate and update website content for raptors.com/community.
Maintain strong relationships with the Toronto community, including charitable organizations.
Respond to all team community requests in a timely manner.
Recruit, train and manage a department intern.
Assist colleagues with hockey and soccer departmental initiatives as required.
REQUIREMENTS
2+ years’ experience working in a professional capacity.
Strong understanding of basketball and the National Basketball Association.
Demonstrated experience managing or working with professional athletes or VIPs.
Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines.
Able to exercise diplomacy and tact at all times.
Proficient in MS Office and XP; quick to learn new software programs.
Must be able to work home game days. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as required.
Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
