This series would have killed me a few short years ago. I haven't even been hyped going into our playoff games this year. Something just felt off from the beginning.

Passion dwindling or just getting sick of being stagnant?

The sweep against the Wizards did numb me a little bit to our playoff futility. The loss yesterday didn't hurt as much as it should have because of that. We've seen this exact scenario play out before after all.

It bothers me that instead of anger I'm starting to feel apathy.

This is the same thing that happened to me with the Maple Leafs and the Blue Jays back in the day. And now while I'll casually follow them when they're good and hope they do well, I don't really follow them that closely (I'm more of all​ bandwagoner if I'm honest).

Feels like I might be heading to the same place with the Raps...

Ah well, might not be a bad thing. I've got a child now so it's not like I've got a surplus of time or money to continue to invest into being a sports fan...An amicable breakup where I realize my love is gone for the Raps may not be the worst outcome.

I am sad. and angry. And embarrassed and a lil hungry.

I am kind of sad. Wasted so many years of my time only to end up where the team has always been, a treadmill team with no future.

This bum ass team doesn't deserve the fanbase they have

I feel exactly the same way. For me its mostly because I hate the way this team plays game after game, year after year without ever changing what's clearly not working. The Raps have shown in short spurts that they can actually play good proper basketball, but they can't ever seem to do those things that get them success over an entire season and they always revert back to their bad habits and that's frustrating as hell to watch.

Now that the Raps have gotten to the playoffs, I'm just not nearly as hyped or as excited as I was before because I know they're just going to continue to play stupid, dumb basketball and Casey isn't going to do a damn thing to change anything. I was super hyped for the playoffs back when we faced Brooklyn and then when we faced the Wiz the next year.

I was also excited last year for the playoffs against the Pacers...........until we nearly lost the series because of dumb and/or bad players and a stupid coach and after that series I lost much of the excitement I had for watching the Raps. Against both Miami and Cleveland, I was still cheering for them, but not nearly as much or nearly as hard as I did when they played against the Pacers because I just got tired of the Raps making the same stupid mistakes over and over again. This year I'm still rooting for them, but I'm kinda numb now and I expect them to do stupid sh$t that costs them games so it doesn't hurt as much as it use to. Maybe when they have the balls to make some major changes I'll get really excited for them again, but right now I'm just meh about this team.

This core doesn't have it in them to compete against the top teams in the league. In my opinion this just closes the gap between now and a rebuild and/or a coaching change.

That is our destiny as TO sports fan, we cannot have nice things. I had no hope for this team despite relative success during regular season, but with trade for Ibaka and PJ I got fooled that we might be onto something despite a certainty of playoff showing of DeScrub and KL.

Last two years I kept posting here about how DeScrub is ill equipped for playoff games and got flamed by many of his fanboy club members who were confused that his love for this city would translate into basketball skills which he has none. His game is so predictable and easy to stop when games really matter and despate of all this we gave him monster contract which doomed this franchise for years to come.

I was always fan of KL and his no shows into playoffs I kind of tolerated. But not anymore. We just cannot sign him this off-season with the money he would ask. Let him walk and for the love of god trade DeScrub and start rebuild.

Best analogy I can come up with is that I'm dating a girl who I was really into and things are going great. We have the usual drama, but we love each other and I'm super excited to spend time with her; she goes away traveling for the summer but I can't wait for her to get back. (Brooklyn series).

Then I find out she cheated on me. (Washington series) I'm devastated, but decide to believe her when she tells me it was a one time thing and a big mistake and it'll never happen again. So we stay together.

The next little while is great, but I'm more alert and aware and frankly sensitive to some troubling signs -- the way she flirts with other guys, the way she seems to enjoy the attention a bit too much when we're out at a bar. But we're having fun when we're together so I convince myself it's all in my head and let the nagging doubts go. (Indy/Miami/Cleveland last year)

Then I find out she cheated on me again (this series against the Bucks)

And I realize that I don't feel angry any more. I'm just numb and want a new girlfriend because I realize that no matter what happens, I'll never be able to trust her again. And even if we stay together, this will keep happening because it's just the type of person she is.

That's where I think I am with this Raptors team now. I no longer see that funny, beautiful girl with the spunky attitude that I originally fell in love with. Now I just see this weak-willed, insecure and untrustworthy person who will just continuously break my heart and I realize she's not worth my time. And there's basically nothing she can do at this stage that will make it better.

I'm sad cause Raptors don't play up to their potential. I wonder, whose fault is that?

The worst part about this team is the motivational problems. They will probably come out like gangbusters for game 4 and eke a win but then it will be back with the deer in the headlights look for game 5 and lose again. If they had won the first 2 games easily then I could understand them coming out flat for game 3 but to lose game 1 and barely win game 2 should have been more than enough motivation to at least show up for game 3 and not embarrass themselves.

So when the team shows no passion, it's easy for the fanbase to follow suit.

Yeah we might be worse off for one year but in the long run it will be a crippling move for the franchise if we keep him. It's the same argument that was used by the media as to why you couldn't fire Colangelo and why the Leafs had to re-sign and overpay Dion Phaneuf.

Somehow those franchises survived both of them exiting and the sky didn't start falling.

If we fail in this series this could potentially be the raptors "2013" where everyone including the owners are pissed and decide to rebuild. Wishful thinking probably.

Its a 7 game series. Win the next and we have retained home court. The only expectation I have on the raps is they will not dominate teams.

Last nights game was horrible and the team should be embarrassed. At this point it is obvious the offensive sets the raps are running is not able to beat the length/doubles the bucks are showing. Needs to be more off ball screens and crisper ball movement. Right now every time there is a screen the ball handler is looking at 2-3 defenders which is primarily due to the balance of the floor. Run a more flex based offense to control the balance of the floor and might have a shot to break it down.
